What a game!! The player targeting is quite understandable match-up wise. Seeing 2 mono red decks in action was really impressive, pressuring the control deck to answer threat after threat. Such a 'balanced' format Commander is!

after watching a bunch of videos i have realized that if esmond plays any kind of boardwipe mana the whole table will start saying "esmond is the problem/ threat" and attack him. The solution if have come up with? Play monogreen and cast ezuri's predation when it is least expected.

Why did esmond play a 2 mana card at the start with only 1 mana open ? Yavinmaya doesn't produce mana,it just makes everything a forest in addition,for things like forest walk or to turn basic lands into dual lands

From Gatherer: Yavimaya's ability causes each land on the battlefield to have the land type Forest. Any land that's a Forest has the ability “Tap: Add Green.” Nothing else changes about those lands, including their names, other subtypes, and whether they're legendary, basic, or snow.
