Now I am even more excited to receive my QMX in the mail next week! I'm curious though why there's an option to turn off the thump suppression.

I don't hear thumps, but I don't hear the difference. I'm a new ham, and I'm new to CW, so I'm sure it's my inexperienced ear. I have one of those paddles - they are sweet.
