That "To the River" is so different from all the usual PTX! Come Along is one of my favorites. They look and sound so good! Cosmo Sheldrake would be so proud of how they enhanced his song. I knew the pillow would come out for that one!😉 I agree about those choral chords!

@@QofyReacts it has been a crazy month. 🤪 My husband tore his rotator cuff and bicep and has been in extraordinarily bad amounts of pain. He has had surgery now (1 week out) and is doing great! Of course we're happy! Double the QoFy reactions 😁 In the River has a very "pop" feel, similar to the new album actually. I was surprised how similar Avi sounded in the beginning to Matt, until of course he took the lead on the "wade" part, where I was like you... oh yeah, that's definitely Avi, ha ha. Come Along is one of my favorites, with the fantastical lyrics and the upbeat feel. Plus yeah, they're doing some amazing vocal acrobatics. I was so happy to see you dancing to this one. I always want to dance there too! 🥰

I'm all for catching Heffalumps but I will not sit on any muddy clumps. You wash that clump first, or at least throw a rug over it, if it will sit still long enough. I love this song. No it was added to the target only edition of their self titled album. I had to buy mine online at target years ago. It also includes live performances of Problem and Aha. Not sure if if they still sell it or if it can be found on Amazon or eBay but it’s good.

Great reactions to both songs. Thank you very much for reacting to "Come Along". I love, love, love that song. The original artist, Cosmo Sheldrake , wrote a nice comment in the Comments section of the PTX video thanking them for covering his song. He's so cool. That is Kirstie's natural hair color that she had in childhood pictures.

I think you're the first reactor to do To The River. I guess most won't do it because there's no official video, and that's too bad because it's a great song. Mitch is a true (and rare) contra-tenor, so those notes come naturally to him. Kirstie's natural hair color is very dark, so it fits her skin tone better than blonde...kinda makes her more exotic-looking. I mean, she looks great even with BLUE hair as we've all seen, but the dark is really nice.

I love the choral part at the end, too. Especially that last note - and they hold it for just long enough. I believe (and I'm sure someone will point it out if I'm wrong) but there was a period in 2019 when Kirstie broke her ankle, and this video came out not too long after that, which is why I think they are sitting. It's like when Avi hurt his knee just before they filmed Rather Be, and he is sitting through most of that video. Anyway, they did do some concerts where she was wheeling around on one of those knee scooters on stage! She doesn't have the cast on here, but she did on stage.

I love when you make me hear things I’ve never heard when I’ve been listening for years. I’ve never noticed Avi dropping way down after Scott joins in on Waaaaade. It’s all I’m gonna hear from now on. To the river never got the attention it deserved since it was only released on the Target stores edition. Apparently they own the rights to the song. For awhile you couldn’t even find the normal version on KZbin it was always sped up. So glad it’s back so you can hear it the way they meant for it to sound. Love come along too. It’s so fun. Kirstie, Alien Mitch and Matt shine on this one. Of course Kevin too but when doesn’t he? That very last chord in come along always makes me think of Christmas. Not sure if it’s the same as one their Christmas songs but it’s very familiar to me.

Original 'Come Along' was sung by Cosmo Sheldrake and he is very bizarre. The APPLE (yes the iPhone Apple) created a bizarre commercial with the song. By your reaction you appreciate this tremendously. However, I suspect had you watched the original then the Apple version, you would be understand the utter genius of the PTX version. Keep it up.

I think that is less of a vibrato...more like a sliding, connected staccato? With vibrato, the voice quivers and you can control it as in turn it on or off but not the notes. They are controlling these notes :)

It was a Target only exclusive song on the 2015 Pentatonix album. You had to buy a physical CD at Target to get it. They still sell that CD online at Target, but not sure if the current version still includes it (and 2 other bonus live tracks).

@@Smurphmurph yes if you can find the target version it also comes with a live performance of Aha and Problem. It’s too bad they never got to release it any way. It’s such a good song but target owns the rights to it. Smart of them I guess so people would by the Pentatonix album just at target. Dumb of me though. I actually have 3 different versions of that same cd. The 1st release of the originals with the 13 songs on it, the deluxe version which added the covers and the can’t sleep love tink version, and then the target version deluxe with 3 more bonus tracks.
