Don't mean this in a disparaging way I just can't wrap my head around having 20 kills to 50 and the enemy team not just a-moving your throne and winning? Exaggeration but still how is the discrepancy not enough to take rosh and hg? Like kills obviously don't tell the whole story but thats a huge difference in exp and farm is it not?

This is just how dota works now. Too much farm on map, and towers are too strong. To win with weaker heroes in late game you have to play perfectly like falcons.

Less downtime on magic lina is better than one lockdown item. He wasn't having issues locking down, he was having issues outmaneuvering in fights, which less cd on blink helps with. He wasn't planning on going close enough to show with hex. He just wanted to burst from fog and blink out, rinse repeat.

Adding to that, he's most of their damage for most of the game, this game. They only kill things he commits spells on. For them to win fights with bristle a non-factor, he needs to get multiple volleys off and needs Flame Cloak as often as possible.
