Fuck I miss hearing those bands as they were happening, feeling the times as they were.. Then this woman, who is a BABY compared to me and came along well after this music that I grew up with, takes this song and absolutely HONORS IT. Not only does she honor Chris, but she honors HIS honor of Andy. I’ll never be a candy pop guy, but in her heart, Miley Cyrus isn’t a candy pop girl. I've had my times of disappointment with Miley but what she did here is magic. Not only did she have to overcome the pressure of coming out to an audience that most likely had made up their minds about her and figured she would be horrible, she had problems with her vocal chords and still killed it.
