This performance of this song is one if their all time best. The "yeah, yeah, yeah, ah, OOOOH!" in the last few seconds where you only see his silhouette....gives me chills every single time!

DISFRUTA CANTANDO!! 😎🎧🖤 When you say it's dead and gone Yes, I know you're wrong Cut and slash, sharpest knife It won't die, yeah Poison cup, drank it up It won't die No fire, no gun, no rope, no stone It won't die, yeah Why you gotta shove it in my face As if you put me in my place 'Cause I don't care if you or me is wrong or right Ain't gonna spend another night In your bed, in your bed Laws of man are just pretend They ain't mine Love so good, love so bad It won't die, yeah Some talk too long, they know it all I just smile and move on Words ain't free, like you and me I don't mind, yeah Why'd you have to be so mean and cruel? The dogs are loose, I'm on to you You ball and chained together from the dawn to dusk Can't call it leavin', 'cause it's just I never came I never came I never came I never came I never came I never came

@oklahomandn49 Good news, if you haven't already heard it. Josh Homme is going to finish his current tour with Queens of the Stone Age, then it's back to the studio to come up with a new Queens album for release mid next year. According to the reveal interview, it's going in the same direction of Era Vulgaris.

I´ve been trying to interpret these lyrics. The way Isee it, there could be various different topics but I´d like to know what it is really about. Anyone talked to Josh lately and asked him?
@acarlovonsexron19945 жыл бұрын
@Linus Lundström You'll probably never read this, but maybe this'll help someone. I believe Josh is singing about being in a relationship that "won't die" despite their best efforts, that when they finally do successfully sabotage the relationship and then get dragged over the coals for it, feel no remorse leaving it because they "never came" to begin with. Specifically this echoes the situation Josh's now wife Brody went through in her very public divorce from her ex husband Tim Armstrong from Rancid. According to her she'd been trying to leave him for 3 years when she finally made out with Josh in a Rolling Stone spread in 2003, setting off a lot shit thrown their way. She and her band were quickly ostracized by the punk rock community and friends and were blacklisted. I think this song is Josh telling her story.
