To be honest, most people look average to me. Not ugly but not that attractive either. To me, what brings out someone's appearance and makes them, as you put it, "drop dead gorgeous" , is their personality. Not even a "good" personality or being nice. Just something about them that might draw me in.

Yes, while fascinating, let’s just keep in mind that trends may exist but at the end of the day we’re all individuals and we all prioritize different things in a partner. No one is perfect after all, and there’s only so much happiness you can get from physical beauty. Other characteristics are much more important, like loyalty, affection, connection, and commitment. Idealized beauty is great in books, tv, etc. but in the real world we all have to compromise because no one is perfect all the time. Keeping an unrealistic standard for men or women will just leave you dissatisfied with any partner in the end.

@floofzykitty50722 жыл бұрын
It's interesting that when it comes to male and female beauty standards, often they revolve around things that are not easy to change. When we are talking about a "slim" woman, a lot of the time we are talking about a slim woman who also has the right body type to accentuate it. With men, things you can change like how muscular you are, are not as desired as... hand features that are mostly just genetic.
@alexforce92 жыл бұрын
Well, women have more luck - coz men largely find a bigger variety of women attractive. We like em slim, chubby, Brazilian, hourglass, ripped, short, tall, black, white, asian, medium rare, well done, everything hahaha. Some girls find Adam apple very attractive It's the body language ..gentle but still respectable , friendly but powerful , helpful but can't be taken advantage of For me it's the forehead with high brow bridge And those beautiful hooded eyes through which you penetrate your gaze

Haven't watched the video yet but giving my 2 female gaze cents! An attractive male hand starts with cleanliness i.e. short clean nails. then, finger width and length to palm and wrist ratio. It would be very nice to see a video like this but applying to same-sex attracted people. Usual male and female gaze don’t really apply the same on these cases so it would be interesting

Yeah I have very big hands with piano fingers. Despite being 5'11 I can palm a basketball easily. But my 2D to 4D ratio is fucked bruh and my face does look more like a pretty boy than anything else.

Not even gonna bring up about the shape of the nail-bed??? Bc oof, the proportions of the nail on a man’s hand really do make a huge difference on how attractive they are. Also keeping them maintained, like nails trimmed neatly and making sure not to leave gunk stuck under the nail… clean looking.

11:03 "Attribute" as a noun is pronounced differently to "attribute" as a verb. At-tribute, rather than attri-bute. Great video, awesome channel.
@nutella17572 жыл бұрын
That's largely a geographially based pronunciation. For example mobile can be pronounced as mo-bye-uhl or mo-buhl neither is ineherently wrong.

It would be nice to know why male kpop idols are seen as very attractive worldwide despite them being not masculine. Or just any video about kpop cause damn a fancam of one of them has almost 140M views?? What makes them so frikin attractive??

@justice has failed. it will improve at a regular rate similar to other muscle groups with proper form and rest for said Carries. Whether or not that’s attractive to a girl I can say it’s more so than looking feeble. It’s more for lifetime sustainable athleticism. A girl will appreciate your discipline and you’ll extend your health span.

@justice has failed. @justice has failed. You're fighting ghosts here i think because quoves doesn't really disagree with you. They repeatedly stated that the attraction isnt purely about who has the largest amount of practical strength and most people even those who don't watch this channel know this which is why bodybuilders going to the mens open Olympia or people doing strong man competitions with their massive guts aren't the beauty standard for women. It does seem to be about practical strength but mire the strength you van illustrate is inheritable rather than ones introduced by hard work and drugs. Thats why quoves mentioned the swimmers body because that type of body indicates genetic health needed in irder to grow in that fashion while not being so over the top to be almost artificial strength that requires specific training for the sake of improving your physique. This is also why quoves hypothesized hands, height, and facial structure are such important aspects of the beauty standard for woman because those are all inheritable traits that you can't really train to look better that was what the "honest genetic indicators" section of the video was for.

I stumbled upon this video because I’m curious why my hands are apparently attractive…. But… I’m told I have ‘lesbian hands’ I mean, I am a lesbian-with hands so… okay. Now I’m just wondering about variations of perceived ‘hand attractiveness ‘ across gender and sexual orientation 🤔. I’ll trade you pictures of my hands for a follow up video… 😂

The thing is, grip strength can in fact be built very readily and to a large extent, forearms and indeed hands, particularly the muscle (s?) I think it's possibly one, that control the thumb, will experience hypertrophy like any other skeletal muscle. To say forearm/grip strength development is something that is extremely difficult to improve is simply not true - it absolutely can be improved and in my experience, is NOT difficult. No more so than any other muscle group, in fact. There is nothing special or mysterious about the musculature of the forearms and hands - following the principles of what induces hypertrophy, they will respond like anything else, if the high threshold motor units are being stimulated in the muscles, repeatedly across a multitude of sets, hypertrophy will occur. I'm just saying, it is NOT accurate to describe these muscles as being in some way 'unique' or special in regards to growth and strength. The same also goes for calves, despite common belief. Hopefully some people may be able to comment to support what I'm saying.

Emotional connection explanantion sounds like bs to me. Emotion are there to guide behavior, thus you can't explain something evolutionary by saying behavior x is caused by emtion y. It's not an ultimate cause.
