I watched so many videos about these when they were announced and still managed to miss that the druid's cape is double sided. That's dope. Looking forward to getting my order, should be here any day!

Fun video. Thanks for sharing. There's a less destructive way of opening the boxes. You can pry open one of the sides printed with the copyright notice & '12 to collect' or the other side with the print of the recycling standards. You can then pour out the contents and, if you want to re-use the box, you can tuck the flap back in. It's less dramatic and therefore possibly not as impressive on camera, but the box remains usable.

The scanner app itself seen to work 99.9 of the time. Had three boxes that it wouldn't scanned, well ok two did eventually scanned except for one which reveal to be the Lady of Pain!

Thanks, you just reminded me to open my packs that I bought earlier today, lol. I used an app too, though someone had already gone through them all and bought all the dragonborns, unfortunately. The important thing is that I got a couple of the Aarakocras to use in Zelda MoCs. :)

That’s so sad about the Dragonborns - thats the only problem with the QR app.. arakocras for Zelda - what a great idea!

Actually, you don’t need a (certain) QR scanner. Why? Because, the code directly under the QR code is the key. When you start with one, the rest will be a breeze. For example, the actual code for #7 is; 729R4.

Just downloaded the Minifig Scan app and tested it on one of my Space Series minifig boxes... I had to hold the box quite a ways away from the camera to get it to recognize the QR code because it couldn't focus enough to get a clear shot when I held it closer, and even then, it was hit or miss. So, word of caution: The usefulness of the app is at least somewhat dependent on your phone's camera quality.

So annoyed right now. At work (retail), it was 20% off weekend for employee only meaning my time has come to buy the Dragonborn paladin using the scanner app! I mean I did set up the stand weeks beforehand. Did notice the stands had several packs sold already but I think nothing of it. Top box had no dragonborn, another not full box had no Dragonball and three more boxes later, it was clear someone had bought ALL of the Dragonborn Paladin! This took me nearly 30 minutes to scan each other! Ironically I went to the toystore nearby which they also got it but in their own display than using the cardboard tower display. After my fifth scan, I found the Paladin and immediately bought him! Yes I got him in the end but still, annoyed that I had to paid full price just to get him. I mean I was able to ge the ones I wanted from the Space minifig without issues on the 20% off (usually every end of the month)! Had I know about this, would of scanned each boxes once it was out on the app and bought him at 10% instead!

If anyone is curious on the characters result, I found- Common- Druid, Barbarian, Warlock and Tyling Uncommon- Witch and Bard Rare- Lady of Pain, Mindflyer, Skeleton and Strahd Very rare- Eagle archer

Bought 2 that were supposed to contain the Dragonborn paladin but they turned out to be the mind flayer!!!😡😡 turns out this particular batch has that problem with them having mindflayer in them instead of the paladin!!!

I just bought 6 of them from a local Walmart and each one had a different set of numbers under the smaller Qr code, and I had no duplicates so far. The codes were: 725R4, 625R4, 225R4, 524R4, and 226R4.

@@Doomtootstonobody unfortunately my strategy didn't work because I bought from Barnes & Noble and there were more than 6 different codes and I ended up getting 2 duplicates

That’s really annoying! Have you tried both methods? It could be that they are the wrong-sized QR code or perhaps the codes where you are based are different? That was an issue with the last series and the scanner. I hope you get it figured out!
