Qrcode & Barcode Scanner App Using Jetpack Compose || Clean Architecture || Google Code Scan Api

In this tutorial we will be building barcode scanner app using google code scanner , jetpack compose and will be following clean architecture guideline.
The cool thing about google code scanner is we don't need camera permission and we don't need to add camera to perform scanning.

How to open URL on browser after scanning?

you can use Intent to do that. Simply add a check if it's url then create a intent which will redirect to the device's browser.

I am getting issues when I am scanning a QR code, but it works with a plain text Barcode. Is this library not meant for QR codes?

you cannot edit the design. If you want to have your own design then you'll need to implement using ML KIT Barcode scanning LINK: developers.google.com/ml-kit/vision/barcode-scanning

Thank you for the video but the code is not working even by using your code directly from GitHub. How is it supposed to work if there are no permissions to use the camera? I have good Internet and have waited for a lot of time but it is not working.

this library handles everything for us so this is the better approach to implement qrcode/barcode scanning in app. we don't need camera permission or setup camera preview for scanning code if we use this library. Hi, when I try to use on real device (Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite) it thorw error below; Chimera config error: com.google.android.chimera.config.InvalidConfigException: No registered Chimera impl for com.google.android.gms.mlkit.barcode.ui.BarcodeScanningActivityProxy How can I fix this. I can't find anything on google.
