Looks like you had a great WFD. Mobile whips work very well. From a location in the Atlanta area, I worked BC on a 20 meter whip. It was amazing, and I had only my vehicle as a counterpoise.

You’re hard core being out there in that weather! Congrats on a mobile Field Day! Especially QRP!

Great video. I prefer Hustler to hamsticks. You can install multiple resonators on a single mast to get more bands. During solar minimum I tested Hustler along with WSPR and I was able to get to UK on 20mW using exactly the same magnet mounted antenna.

Thank you for another great video Tracy. What a nice setup for mobile. 73

Your video made me realize that I can participate for a couple of hours and that is OK. For some reason I had it my mind that I had to be there at least half a day or it would be a failure. Enjoyed your video. Thank you.

I worked 10 m on a homemade dipole in the backyard. Pretty cold for a Virginia winter. Great video. Inspiring.

Hello Tracey, Great fun indeed, and you were ready to face the worst snow storm, with all the stock you had in the car. Hi! Anyway, I used the hustler antenna for years and believe me it works very well, exactly like any hamstick antennas, or outbacker.- Exception for Buddipole antenna , because I can make any vertical full size, well ajusted, with the analyser. This way I can compare 2 verticals ex: Hamstick VS Hustler, or VS full lenght Buddipole vertical antenna. with a 2 positions switch and playing antenna no 1 & ant no 2. Here at home I have around my lot a "CHAIN LINK FENCE" , total lenght is 187 feet, so it is a very nice place to experiment those verticals antenna in many ways. By the way no need of external counterpoise, the fence do the job .- If at home you do not have a " CHAIN LINK FENCE" you sure find one somewhere in some park , and this way you should be able to make those tests. Why 187 ft, it is total lenght, but in fact my lot is only 43 ft wide and 70 ft long each side of the lot, but this lot is at the back of the house. Also I can make for exemple, 2 phased vertical antenna and test with a single one to see the difference with signal reports , AMAZING!!! It is all explained in the famous book of "ED.NOLL" W3FQJ (SK), 73 Vertical Beam Triangle Antennas, if you want the book I can send it to you in PDF format.- Do not forget, have fun everyday Hi! Hi! 72/73 Mike VE2TH tHE QRp' 'ER FOR 60 YEARS AS OF YEAR 2024.-

Great effort Tracy. I am going to concentrate much more with QRP over the next couple of years while were at the hump of the cycle.

Looks like you had fun Tracy. I went out with my new club (just moved) and we set up in the park not far from my house here in TX. The wind was very cold and we ran tarps all around the park's pavilion. We had a county judge and the park ranger who ran the park visit us and also the head of the emergency services come out with a Telecom trailer that is fully set up. The EOC guy was testing the trailer and thought this whole be a good test. We ran both Saturday all day and Sunday. Just had a wire in a tree with a tuner. Had a blast. We ran 1 Oscar.

Hi Tracy, If you have more than one Hustler resonator, Hustler has a mast multi band adapter to mount three resonators on one mast to allow changing to three bands. Worked very well when I had resonators for 20 40 80 in a dipole configuration on my crank-up tower. The 40 and 80 resonators had limited bandwidth but could use the internal tuner to double that. I was nursing a cranky heating boiler and missed WFD. Stay safe. 73 WJ3U

Do you pass through highway 11 on occasion. I could swear I saw your car today southbound I believe between Barrie and Orillia. I did not have radio on board as I was a passenger in a friend's truck, I know shame on me. Thought it worth a check.73 from VA3DBL

Given the difference in weather, I think any station operating outside in Canada should get a multiplier.
