I think it's pretty tidy inside, I'm using my ATU on my regen but would love something like this 🤔 fantastic video 🎉 great channel.

Only later i realized that it can act as a bandpass filter for a receiver and helps to get rid of a lot of unwanted stuff. Thank you so much. 73, YO6DXE.

Very neat job mounting the tapped inductor to the switch. Very solid construction, short wires, neat appearance. Fine job.

Great work Ciprian, should be good for 5w or 10w with a manly man capacitor.
@dxexplorer2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Nigel. I don't think I will have more than 5W for a while... especially for portable QRP... so it should be good ))). For home use... I may build a big one sometime in the future. No rush on that one though ))) 73

@@dxexplorer, running QRP means never having to explain why contacts can't be made. I feel sorry for those running over 1000 watts who can't make a contact because they don't know what they're doing. :)

Thank you for letting me know Ralph. I will check the settings for the Newsletter. I changed from Chimp whatever it was to the new one, and maybe I did something wrong. About the article... I had to wait a little as I'm learning a lot now for my amateur radio exam coming this Monday. When I come back home as is not in my city.. I will be relaxed and post a bunch of articles on the blog. Have an amazing weekend and 73. This coming week for sure I will post the article.

Max power??
@dxexplorer Жыл бұрын
I don't know what to say about that... with those little Chinese variable capacitors... I would not dare to put more than 10W Into it. But is for QRP so... we don't need more than 10W 😀

73 DE YO6DXE. Ohh by the way.. I was not too happy about having both HIGH Z and LOW Z in one tunner with the parts I had available. It works well up to a point when it can't handle all the bands. Just because there is either not enough capacity... or not enough inductance. So I would either build it for LOW Z or HIGH Z instead of both in one. Right now I am working on another version strictly for LOW Z with a different style inductor and a bigger capacitor that will also allow me to use a little more power into it as well. I will make a video and write an article when I have a little time.

Thanks for another interesting video, Chip. Your timing is perfect. The bands are improving. This matching unit will be very useful - it should be able to match half wave and quarter wave antennas with no unun needed. Take care, 73, VK7IAN

Thanks so much Ian... ohh yes I can't wait to finish the enclosure and put it use ))) Waiting for some good weather too so I can test it outside with all sort of antennas and see how it performs. 73 and have an amazing weekend.
