If you are thinking about going out on the weekend it is a good idea to check the contest calendar.

For sure! Especially if you like QRP. Thanks for watching, Tom!

I keep a 17m EFHW element and a 17m 1/4-wave wire in the bag with my ICOM 705 for when it's overcrowded during contests. A linked EFHW or dipole for the WARC bands is on the to-do list.

I was tempted to break out my 17meter. But I was hard pressed to give the N9SAB 15 meter a good test run.

This is why I try to avoid contests like the plague and try to stay on the WARC bands. One of my upcoming videos will show one of my activations from that day. The one Tuesday will show a bit, but not much, if I remember correctly. “Please repeat. Please repeat. OH! You’re 59!” SMH… 73.

Me too. However I usually forget to check when I go out for an activation. Plus unfortunately I didn’t have much of a choice on this one. I have a goal of at least one SOTA a month this year and it was the end of March. Serves me right for putting things off… Thanks for watching and all your support, bud!

Looks like the N9SAB dipole worked out well for you! Is that a fire tower in the background? 73, Patrick KF4LMZ

Yep N9SAB makes an awesome antenna. Yes, that’s abandoned fire tower on the summit. It has been repurposed as a repeater site. Thanks for watching, Patrick!

Why does every station struggle with NJJ?
@Scout75PortableRadio8 ай бұрын
The double J’s throws them off at times for sure. Thanks for watching!

Ugh, using non-international phonetic alphabet is irritating. I liked the video otherwise as you showed how simple activating the park can be.
