Have had my QSC K10’s for well over 12 years now and I’m still impressed by them. Have never failed me at a gig ever. Gotta love their 6 yr warranty.

I had a pair of K12's a while back, fantastic speakers would be an understatement. Nice review.

QSC is a little expensive, but I also think several notches above most other brands. One thing I don't like is how most Pro Speakers today are of the 2 - way variety. When 3 - way speakers give you better sound quality. It's an accounting move I know. But seriously 98% of all Pro Speakers seem to be 2 way speakers. Which is disappointing.Another cool video. Thanks.

Next time you get one of these powered speakers open, run a sine wave with the speaker disconnected and test for max voltage at the speaker leads please. I have serious doubts it will be 63 volts (500 watts into an 8 Ohm load), but would like to know what it really is. FYI, Volts times Volts divided by Ohms = Watts. Thumbs up for the video. Well done.

fyi; The phase plug apparatus you noted inside the compression driver throat, isn't for dispersion. It's purpose is for proper summation of the energy propagating off the surface of the driver's diaphragm. In that environment, energy needs to be guided forward to sum as physically in phase as possible... not bounce side to side before collecting. Without such phase plug guidance, excessive lateral paths occur, resulting in some energy taking twice the path length of others prior to summing collectively in the tighter compression throat. Simply put, it assists the energy in taking equal path lengths ... thus greater positive summation propagating outward. Historically, it's nothing new... Bell Labs developed theirs in the 20's, introducing them in the early 30's. I'm not that old, but yeah, I'm an old dude... my 6th decade in audio. Dig the content

I found the hf wasn’t that nice onced turned up 70% upwards not sure if was dsp or hf....always wanted to maybe upgrade/test rcf or faital pro tweeter instead, as my rcfs are smooth loud! But the bass on these was decent mid/bass (qsc)! Looks like wires are thicker then what rcf use 👌🏻👍🏻

I wonder how the QSC K10.2 compares to this older model. Unpopular opinion probably, but I like how the old K series looks, especially the K10 for some reason, better than any of their current offerings. To me, they look 10x more powerful to me due to the woofer and horn being visible. I wonder if there’s a way to remove the fabric/foam or whatever’s behind the metal grill on the K.2 series to recreate this look. I know, it probably provides some sort of protection to the components from spills, but I’d give anything to have a speaker where the woofer and horn were visible behind the grill.

You show where the yellow pair and green pair of wires go, but I'm curious where do the black/white wires go to?
@thenatmann13 жыл бұрын
I think i figured it out, I believe the black and white wire go to the blue LED that lights up on the front of the unit...

Celestion I believe, supply the drivers for QSC.
@rudycorraudio90894 жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct. Made in China drivers but still very well made because QSC has verry strict quality control on their China made components. I have been very happy with my all QSC rig.
@pierrehansson78773 жыл бұрын
why not B&C drivers ?
@truthful37772 жыл бұрын
Celestion, China made drivers are good, well made speakers Way better than eminence for sure. Eminence is clunky looking.

I don't think 500w is the rms rating; that would be 125-250w (@8 ohms)
@alpoulin12 жыл бұрын
It is indeed an RMS rating for amplifier output capability for both the LF and HF. As the power distribution is controlled via the internal processing however, the compression driver will never see anywhere near that amount since not only would the box be ultra top heavy (as compression drivers are much, much more efficient), but the compression driver in there is a 60 watt unit if I recall correctly. The 1000 watt RMS number, while real on paper, is not real in real world usage. I think using the same amplifier for both LF and HF was for cost reasons and the 1000 watt number looked really good in print back in the day where you would rarely see such a big number on a 10'' or 12''' active box ;)

Hi there, i'm from belgium and i have a request if it's possible. Can you do a review about the new jbl irx 112bt "please" ? Greetings

Greetings! We unfortunately only do what we have available to us. We will try to keep ya in mind tho! Alot of viewers have requests and we wish we had the resources to fulfill the need for content haha. Especially with quarantine everything is getting delayed ):

Hi dude 😄 lots of people waiting for a revieuw about the jbl 112bt, the only doubt we all have is, why is this so cheap? I use jbl all my life and i never had problems , its very crisp like everbody nows , but this price range? Is there something we should now about ? Greetings from belgium
@TopogigioSemi2 жыл бұрын
Those are Celestion drivers. Tweeter around 25-30 watt. Woofer 150-200watt Watt's declared from the QSC are a big lie.

Hi. when I active the extra bass in my QSC the box start to have distortion. Only one of the pair , I bring it to fix with locals but he say nothing is broken lol. but Its really horrible sound after I active the extra bass. We no have local QSC service here. I m thinking to check by my side . Have you ever have this problem o know about that. tks man
@2DudesAudio Жыл бұрын
That's a strange one! We haven't had any issue with that. Sounds like there is a issue with the board or if your lucky just doing a update will fix the issue. I would suggest forgetting about the extended bass adjustment and just use what ever external mixer to add more low end.

pretty pathetic woofer in it for the price cant see that thing handling the 500w its meant to especially fullrange.

Please that magnet infact that driver is cheap cheap ...and it doesn't even need venting that's how efficient it is what a joke ...venting is always better than no venting that's like saying my 600bhp has really good grip because if the tyres it doesn't need a rear spoiler because it's got enough grip 🤣🤣😭😭😭
