QSC K12.2: HOW TO REMOVE THE AMP MODULE - 3 Easy Steps

I bought a pair of QSC K12.2s in January 2021 but the sound would cut off randomly on both. I created a "RMA" (Repair Merchandise Authorization link - www.qsc.com/su...) with QSC. They allow you to remove the amp modules so that shipping is easy and cheaper (it cost me $19 to ship both amp modules through USPS), but there was no "how to" video on removing them. Good when they work. 2 broken within warranty period but take one month to repair by Thomann the seller in Eu.

Any tricks on hooking that plug back up when you install the module? I can't get my hands on there.

Great question! If you got a 9 year kid with small hands, that's your best shot! Otherwise, it's very difficult for folks with big hands. Be sure to turn the Amp sideways so you get the most slack in the wire; it may take some time but you'll get it done. Good luck 👊🏽

Balance the amp module against the top side (nearest the plug to connect) keep the lower end higher with enough space to get your arm in there should be around 3 or 4" of wire sticking out from the speaker box with the plug on the end of it. Guessing you found a way by now but hope this helps others.

JUST IN CASE SOMEONE ELSE IS LOOKING :I was looking for a way myself. My 5, 6 or 8 year old couldn't do it. I ended up having to take front grill off, use Allen French to remove the main speaker and clips the ziptie behind it to get more slack on the wire.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy just the qsc k12.2 amp module, or another compatible one? I have a k12.2 stopped and I don't want to fix its amp anymore.
