Bulletproof reliability of these 2-stroke Yamahas. I recently bought an '83 RX50, 37 years old and fires up on first kick every time.

Yup very simple to work on. Just keep an eye on those crank seals. When the seals get old and brittle it causes a lien condition and burns the piston. Crank seals can be the death of a two-stroke quick

2 cycle always starts. Maybe change the oil too. I still have one from 1984. Perfect just not used forever. Perhaps a winter project?

Not 5 wire stators 4wire I to looked been looking for a couple years now those stator are for pw50 not qt50

@@raymondhelms3742 I recommend taking your old stater and sending it to ricks Powersports in New Hampshire. They have a nice website you can find through Google. Give them a call they will give you proper procedure for sipping. They did the stator on my 64 Honda
