Fine sound indeed. what is it about the SA30 you think creates the good synergy? I've always wanted a pair of S-2s, but I think I might hold out for the Z-2s instead.

The arcam is quite warm and full sounding. The s2s are a bit zippy in the treble and layed back in the mid range often sounding a bit cool or thin. Also the s2 without a doubt need more power to get them to come alive, 50w works ok but 100w plus and they are noticeably better. If your considering z2’s forget about the s2. I’ve heard the z2 in a store and they are far better in the midrange.

@@russellparker4568 no kidding. I won't be able to test the Z2s as I'd have to buy them from overseas. I've heard even the Z1s push the S2, or are equivalent. Glad you're happy with your system!

What does warm sounding mean? Lacking vocals?

The opposite to it sounding cool/thin/flat sounding. Warm has a rich tone and fullness to the sound. It has more body to the instrument, more weight to the vocal, more heft and presence to the bass.

This sing and other hq recorded songs sound great on every gear. Play some pop or othe more dynamic music and will see then :)

Where is the dog? Show us the dog. You can not tease and run. By the way I am looking for the speakers on the second hand market. No luck so far. People who owns them never sells them.

Haha! 😄 Shes about, I’m working on a new comparison video between two speakers i have, I’m sure she will make an appearance in that at some point. Yeah they are nice speakers, the tweeters on those are especially impressive, hope you find a pair soon.
