I cannot thank you enough for making such a fantastic series on o_C !!!! You are a life saver

Note: There is a known bug in the latest binary for the O_C that causes 'bad' pitches when using the scale masking feature with the Turing mode. This should be fixed in the very soon to be released updated binary. It also hopefully fixes the 'missed triggers' issue too . More info here www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2358503#2358503

grainger weston I scrolled down for this comment and wasn’t disappointed. Just such a great mental picture.

Awesome video man, thank you, just a quick question tho' you're patching the A output of the o_C to a v/oct input on an oscillator? what about trigger to that oscillator say Plaits or Rings? Thanks again!!!

Love the O&C and just pre-ordered one of the nine that are coming available. I have a question where I'd like to know that considering the Turing element in this unit is it redundant to also pick up the dedicated Turing Machine and all of its expansions?

I have better results when using the turing machine in unquantized mode routed thru an external quantizer

So you can use the same CV channel as you are sending pitches from for the offset. But you can't see the offset reflected on the screen. :-( So if you were using all four Turing machines you could see none of the offset levels on screen. I used my Befaco A*B+C for the offset.

Can you save your generated turing pattern?

Do you need to have an external trigger module for this? Or is there some way to internally trigger/clock? Thanks for sharing this!
@voltagecontrollab4 жыл бұрын
Yes you need an external clock to keep the sequence in tempo and stepping along.

Going to try this on a Quadnic (digital quad oscillator) hopefully tonight. I'll post more here and on my channel.

What is happening if we don't have a Maths, how can we loop the random voltages?
@voltagecontrollab7 жыл бұрын
You can use any DC offset module, there are a bunch. One that I've been using lately that is much deeper than just DC offsets, is the Bends from Warmstar Electronics.

Sorry, i am a newbie, have a couple of months into the modular world. I have a Disting MK3, does it do offsets?
@timnordberg72046 жыл бұрын
yes you can use Precision Adder mode to generate an offset
@midilyfestyle6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Solomon I’ll add to the precision added comment: make sure that you’re in the second mode of the precision adder, as the first one will jump in increments of 1v (which is a lot)

just got my O*C and trying to wrap my head around the "pulse" output of the quad turing machine. Since there is only 4 outputs where is the pulse out i can send to my adsr for my OSC?
@voltagecontrollab7 жыл бұрын
+famousarmystudio I would suggest multing your clock source to pull that off...

amazing video man!! I wanted to ask , could you reccomend a module less than 4hp that could lock the sequence probability? I was thinking about this www.modulargrid.net/e/steady-state-fate-quad-atten
@Digiphex7 жыл бұрын
This looks extremely limited compared to the actual Turing Machine with the CV knobs and 6 outs added, though it is a nice addition to this module.
@neverfox5 жыл бұрын
True, but balancing that out (for me) is the fact that I almost always want my Turing Machine quantized to a scale, so having that all done in one module is pretty huge.
