@LightoramaLED This is not just for the inexperienced. I've driven quads professionally for 24 years and I had an unexpected rollover at 26 km/hr on flat gravel road this summer. Three of my foremen have broken their backs on quads in the past five years, and at least one (possibly two) of those incidents wouldn't have resulted in significant injuries with one of these units attached to the ATV. This add-on WILL prevent some injuries, and save some lives.

BUT! The Quadbar appears to be an increased risk in frontal rollovers as the Quadbar may come into contact with the rider when the full weight of the ATV is behind it. No frontal crash video. Why? What about central point of gravity?

Check the quadbar website. The Quadbar has undergone extensive independent testing. The only contradictory evidence is that paid for by the bike companies and has been found by prominent Australian engineers to be fraudulent and "not worth the paper it is written on"

That's good and all, but has it gone through simulated crash testing with a dummy, like ANCAP? There's conflicting evidence on the efficacy on this safety device.

What about when the "safety" bar hits you in the back of the head, or spikes you in the back as it falls ON YOU? The safety equipment is only adding danger here in a vast majority of cases. Powersports machines are not safe, if the riders are not paying attention or experienced. you can not make something safe that isn't. bottom line is - You can brake your leg and fall down a hill and die just as quickly because you stepped on a loose rock, or stick while hiking as riding a quad up/across a hill.

What about the international tests and evaluations that show rollover protection devices cause as many injuries as the quad bike. Even the Victorian Cornier rejected the claim that they lower the number of injuries or deaths

This is obviously for the inexperienced, when you've had 16+ years riding all types of terrain in multiple states and countries you don't need it. Because the first thing I tell people that have never ridden with me before is "Treat your quad with care and respect and it will return the favor". The reason I share about breaking my pinky is to show that they don't do much damage when they do rollover. I don't have it "ruff" at least I'm not like the dumbass that gos out and break their pelvises.

That thing is so stupid, ugly and meaning less!!! That thing would get Hung on trees and other crap. I've role my Honda on top of me twice with a broken pinky to show for it. Of these things will never touch my quads!!!!
