100% agree. Especially tracks like ‘Can’t You See?’ and ‘Summit Pt.1’, which didn’t really hit for me all that time ago.

Probably still his best album sound wise. Idmthy will never be beaten for a complete album and the idea behind it but fmty just sounds fire (other then those mid songs that it has)

@@voltvisuals now that's a hot take. I personally think even sonically idmthy is better. And obviously conceptually idmthy is faaar ahead of fmty, but it's personal opinions i guess.

I don’t think voice memos is trash. That’s what really put me on to Quadeca. He was already self produced and it hits. It’s a simpler sound, but it’s got some bangers

Quadeca does mix and master his tracks. When he dropped I Didn't Mean To Haunt You he claimed that it was his very first album where he did 100% of it

This album holds a special place for me bc I was able to work on the album merch for the deluxe release, he really impressed and inspired me with his ability to create a world and atmosphere with his production, you really feel like you're in the mountains w/ this one

Also I think fmty deluxe actually has songs that were made after the album it was released half a year after the regular album. Thats why the production is so much better in the deluxe imo and have songs that are really good.

This album has a lot of replay value for me. I can listen to it from start to finish multiple times and not be bored while doing something else in the background. The regular not the deluxe, the deluxe is great but it wasn’t out when I was doing this 😅

Voice Memos
@omarn4830
@omarn4830 6 ай бұрын
Voice Memos-Very generic and influence heavy, everything felt mediocre. However, felt new and different as he wasn’t an artist but a “KZbinr”. Had small moments where I thought were well done. Had some okay hooks. FMTY-Somethings still apply. Better in every way, however, still feels amateurish. Writing was still average and corny at times, but other times it felt right. You can tell he was experimenting and going a new direction. His production is what surprised me, not because it was really good or perfect(it wasn’t), but it was different to what any “KZbinr” had done. That’s where the “KZbinr” label was questioned for him. IDMTHY-Throw that label out the window, he’s an artist now. Huge change and improvement. Everything was better, from writing to production, even the music videos. Music videos felt very connected to the music and translated well. The was a balance that he didn’t have before. Only thing is that if felt slightly stretched out(only because hearing Scrapyard, I think if he would make IDMTHY now, it would be tighter but just as good, if not better. As an album, it was almost perfect for me. Scrapyard-Again, an improvement, in every way. Small stuff that was lacking in IDMTHY, was nowhere to be found on this. The way he can translate music to video is really good. I would love to hear him produce for other artists. The way he can connect music to video is great. Would love to see him direct other things as well.

Found Quad through hive mind after IDMTHY and heard his early albums were bad so i haven’t listened to them before SCRAPYARD released. While not as good as IDMTHY it’s still got a lot of good tracks on it. Great video man loved your other reactions keep it up

I love the timing as soon as finished alone together and was talking about his rapping, the next song (Burnin bridges) proceeds to explode Lmaooo and the rapping gets insane For me personally I think Haunt you is a better concept and the whole album works as a beautiful single piece, this album (from me to you) I’d say is more of a album where you can skip the interludes and play most of the songs in the car and have a BOP And PLEASE, VOICE MEMOS REACTION

Sisyphus and It’s All a Game are still my favourites from this album. But songs like Can’t You See have grown on me a lot. Smiling at the Ground and Work are still quite weak for me though.

amazing reaction as always! listen, I know this is a super random recommendation but I have never seen a good reaction to my fav album of all time it’s called Women in Music pt iii by Haim and it’s so brilliant! it’s an underrated masterpiece it’s so cool. I would reccomend the deluxe version with the 3 extra songs but NOT the remixes with Taylor swift & Thundercat tho the latter is good but not as good as the original. again I know it’s a genre shift but seriously think you'd appreciate its artistry

you gotta listen to “sacred heart 2(+)” by dc the don, he’s probably my favorite artist and imo best underground rapper there is (also his other projects are great) edit: his dasani verse is prob one of his worst works i promise he’s a lot better 😭

voice memos is most definitely not trash, the rest before maybe.... but you would like a dream i cant remember and these days you should revisit. the time in between voice memos and from me to you, was essentially the same amount of time as from me to you to scrapyard, if that makes any sense

I do disagree with other people and that I think there is a significant gap in quality between voice memos and the other records but there is maybe one or two songs where you can see parts of his future artistry shining through. I think its nice to stand there to see where quadeca has come from but it just has a very generic sound to it which when he was doing all of it himself at 17/18 you can see why and I don't blame him for because its what propelled him into relevancy
