hi sir for question no.12 is the width of the box is 10 cm while the length of the box is 25 cm which brings up a total of = 250 cm2

@@ShuYeeTan-v9d So imagine a rectangle where the lenght is 3 times and 5cm longer than the width. But we dont know whats the width so we label it as "x". Now the lenght becomes 3x+5 and the width is x. It is given that the area is 250cm. Meaning lenght and width has to be multiplied to get 250 So it becomes (3x+5)(x)=250 Then, (3x²+5x)=250 Now you move the 250 to the left so it becomes quadratic equation so you can easily factorise it using calculator So it becomes 3x²+5x-250=0 Put the values in calculator and u will get answer x1=25/3 and x2=-10 Obviously x1 is wrong and x2 is the answer and since lenght isnt possible to be a negative value you just ignore the negative. So x=10
