Anti personal mine is now 2 silver weapon each. So forget about equipping them now :) I calculated that it will take me 5 years to equip up, because they are last on the menu of things you need. Also i never see anti personal mines when i play. They are not used here on EU servers. Or perhaps i just fail to notice.

There's no spawn protection when respawning at an engineer's forward spawn point. A mine is a cheeky way to take one of them out.

What I hate about this game is that they have great stuff in there like arty, mortars and mines that really make it stand out from big AAA shooters but once people learn how to use it effectively they get nerfed to shit because bad players will complain about op mechanics. Same will happen to mines once people pick up on knowledge like this and I betcha they'll get nerfed to shit after a few months

What is realy annoying is that there are weapon categories like arty mortars and mines that are extremely usefull on the defensive but not realy offensive so only 1 team in each campaign can fully enjoy them because the other attacks 95% of the time

@@l.h.9747 It would be great if you could make 2 setups per faction on each campaign map. If you end up on defensive game will pick your defensive setup. And if you attack it will pick offensive setup. This is the problem i have had last 20 years of gaming. In real life armies bring the equipment and setup for the task at hand. I don´t think doing that will disrupt the game, since there are already limitations on planes and tanks that can be active, and a wait line for artillery being able to fire.

I have anti personell mines on ALL my units now on all squads but I NEVER thought to combine them with the larger radius AT mines. Now i have a whole new trick.. and a whole new need for bronze orders lol

The little circle countdown when you first plant them, will they not be automatically set off before that runs out? Ofc you can shoot them, but if an enemy walked over it while the circle was there, it wouldn't go off?

Yeah Im kinda only play axis on normandy and this mines are a good friend of mine while defending, since the fucking sturmpistole does nothing against those campy tanks away from the battlefield I just place mines arround the roads where I usually remember they do camp, or where they just will pass arround after capturing first point or something, It ussually works, but it takes a while, also, I found that mortars are better at destroying tanks than the sturm pistole , some times you can hit a tank like one time and he will run away into the mine

If anyone else is getting a bug where you can't equip your mines when your squads first spawn in, just fire your gun and reload. You should be able to equip your mines after.

Watch out for shell holes because hideing AT mines in em hides them pretty well Also I just like to use TNT walk right up to the T-34 and blow it up

I think friendly Artillery could set it off since it can teamkill. Enemy bombs, rockets, gunfire, etc will all set off mines as well.

very specifically Paratroopers can. They get AT or AP mines out of their crate, so they get double if they already had one. But otherwise no

I never saw the point of mine's because I'm usually playing at the Soviets and there are not very many people using tanks nor are there very many places where antipersonnel mines are useful.

@Félix Sánchez Not the issue; the issue is that most matches are not that "fluid", so the places where mines MIGHT be useful I can't get to and place a mine without getting riddled by a dozen people, and a lot of people don't bother entering any building but the one that the capture point is in, and so many grenades are thrown into that building all mines get taken out. When it comes to the Moscow campaign, Mines aren't entirely useless, but they are very much something that doesn't have much utility.
