It is an interesting vehicle. The only problem I have with it, is the price. For less, you can buy a car with more comfort and possibilities. I would love to see this for a low price, so everyone can buy one and then it will surgenly be way more popular. They are a great replacement for your car in cities. I don't have a car anymore and I do everything by foot, bike and trike. I am now building a multy purpose quad.

Ich halte das Quadvelo für eine der vernünftigsten Ideen !!! Leider wird es aufgrund der geringen Stückzahl und des . sehr sauberen Aufbaues für den Normalbürger ( der nicht Radfahr Enthusiast ist ) zu teuer. Ich hab in Erinnerung ca 9 bis 12.000,- Ich würde bei 4500 ,- zuschlagen bin 84 weiss also meistens was ich tue!!!!!!!!

How is the reverse gear carried out on these velomobiles?

Very interesting! Something for folks who want to pedal but don't have the flexibility to slither down inside a 'conventional' velomobile. Better looking than some of the other upright quads on the market.

This idea is what humans should be looking at for our future. We could reduce the width of our roads and increase city density if we shrank our vehicles. If we drove nothing but tiny vehicles like this, we could afford to have grade separated interchanges all over the place because the bridges would be dirt cheap for such short spans and low rises. But a lot of improving has to be done before it's going to be embraced by very many people. They need to get the price down so it can compete with used cars. But the cost won't come down until they are made on an assembly line by the tens of thousands. That's a vicious circle. They also need to get the weight down, so it isn't a brick if you get stuck with a dead battery.

The Mad price. 9900 euros is hugely expensive for that! And probably you may have problems with the wheels during turns.

I love the idea but not so much the design. I'm waiting for the Podbike. Same concept but much better aesthetics 😎😎😎

But this bike has more cargo space, it is not as loud inside as in the Podbike and you do not get cooked inside in the summer. And you have a higher seat position which means more overview of the traffic and prolly get seen better. I would instantly get one, if I would have the money, because of the weather protection. And you can remove the doors as far as I know.

@@Room-180 you are right about more cargo space (you can even carry an adult passenger in the quadvelo, against just a kid in the Podbike). I'm not so sure about the noise thing because Podbike says noise will be much reduced in production version. I also like the higher seat position in the quadvelo but I don't think the heat in the summer will be a problem in the Podbike because you can remove the transparent roof/windshield (or whatever it's called) completely. I commute every day by bycicle and it rains a lot where i live. Summertime is no problem for me. I just hate to get wet and cold in winter, and I think Podbike will be the best solution for me because It is completely enclosed (Quadvelo has open floor so you will get wet when riding over water filled potholes. And because it's open you won't be able to heat the inside with a simple USB heater as you can the Podbike) I think QuadVelo is an awsome product and I wish them a lot of success in paving the way for this new bycicle class to get more mainstream and more affordable but I really dream about my future winterbike, the Podbike Frikar.
