Quail Motorcycle Gathering 2022 - Part 1 of 2

Hello guys,
Well, the suspense is over! I can finally reveal George's completed project, a stunning 1966 Ducati Diana Speciale 250cc.
I hope that you will enjoy this fairly long two-part video of our visit to the incredible quail motorcycle gathering this past weekend. It was a fairly long trip down from Oregon, but significantly worth it. The weather was fantastic and it was so nice to see some sun again after some pretty bleak weather in Oregon.
It took us a couple of days to get there from Portland and we stopped in red Bluff California on the way down before arriving in Carmel by the sea, California on Friday evening.
We dropped the bike off at the Quail golf course and prepared it for the show the next morning.
The weather was wonderful on Saturday and a beautiful setting for a great show ahead.
As you can tell, my favorites are the British motorcycles, but I tried to capture as many other makes and genres as I could. Please excuse me if I missed your bike!
Vincent motorcycles were really well represented at the show this year and it was a pleasure to meet Vincent owners.
The biggest enjoyment was also meeting some great folks during the day who share a common passion of these amazing vintage motorcycles.

My very first ride was on a 250cc Ducati. It started my love affair with motorcycles over 50 years ago. Thanks Mike. It was a joy watching the Quail. Wasn't able to attend this year.

Good to see a Moto Morini 3 1/2 there. Not a quick in a straight line bike but handled really well and had a certain style all of its own. Even though back in the early 80s I rode Japanese 2 strokes (RDs mainly) I always liked the Moto Morini 3 1/2.

Yes, I know what you mean. It was very loud at times. The alternative is to put some music dubbed over the show, but it loses something doing that as well.

Amazing, thanks for sharing. The music however is problematic for copyright claims here on KZbin. Organizers of such events should limit/discourage loud music so that people can take videos and not have to worry about posting them.

Thanks a lot. Yes, I completely agree. I had to chop up some of the clips or replace some of the background audio where it was too loud or the clips were longer and at risk of being detected 😉
