Silly question, but how do you record clear looking gameplay on this game? Every time I’ve recorded it it is dark. Reading up on it it’s an engine problem.

You need a few mods, mainly ioquake3, which fixes the problem with overbright lighting. And yeah, the vanilla engine has some issues with it.
