Same thing up here when I'd be on 101 and drive past Candlestick and then watched it slowly disappear. Now I don't even notice it gone. It will seem weird not seeing it there anymore, but you'll get used to it.

They should’ve just renovated it. Put all that money for the new stadium into it. I’m 13 and everytime we visited San Diego since my dad was born there (he was devastated when the Chargers left since that’s his favorite team, he still supports them though) I ask him if we can check the stadium out. Now, I’ll never get to ask him that again. Now the only stadium in an area I visit is Allegiant Stadium since I live in Vegas. I haven’t gone to LA in like 10 years I think.

It was actually a beautiful place when it was primarily a baseball stadium for the Padres..... It was never the same after it was expanded to hold more fans for football. If I were King, I would have kept the original stadium design and built a separate venue for the Chargers.... A dedicated football-only venue may have resulted in the Chargers not leaving San Diego. (Although the Padres current venue, Petco Park, is also a really nice place.)

This is on you, San Diego. You guys built the Padres a beautiful new stadium and you cant build a stadium for the NFL? A MULTIBILLION dollar a year industry? Super Bowls every 5 years? You couldn't find a place to.do that? Typical San Diego the new plans were scrapped because the voters "didnt have a place to tailgate" . I would've moved to LA too. You guys want us there? Cool. SD obviously cant get their shit together and its 2020, we need a new stadium. This is on y'all SD, Spanos has a business to run.
@mikecoxbig70463 жыл бұрын
@@richardhenry5858 I agree. For sure San Diego would've gotten a Super Bowl out of it had they built a new stadium as well as many more Super Bowls as the league likes to play the game in perfect weather conditions, etc. The revenue generated buy one Super Bowl alone should've been enough justification for the city of san diego to have helped out in keeping their team. San Diego has no one to blame but them f'en selves on this one!
