Many whose marriages ended in divorce were more than likely programmed by their parents, etc., to pay more attention to the externals of a person instead of the contents of that person. The principal that I noticed between believers and the unequally yoked is that the Bible says 2 things. 1. If it is in your power, as best you can ,be at peace with all people. 2. If the spouse want to leave let them leave.(of course you can fight for them if you want),but rather handle it peacefully than add more chaos to the mix. Either way both are free because there is no peace. And peace and unity/same mind and love is the goal. I unfortunately see how Christians handle divorce, one try to make the others life hell and one just wants peace. It let's me know who is mature and loves the Lord forreal and who is not bitter trying to destroy the other. Then I hear your teaching about marriage/divorce/ remarriage --its very eye opening and I'm glad that there is someone really reading the scriptures and can advocate for those who have been condemned to the law that no one really has understood or broken down which says you are in adultery if you remarry .
