Since the weather at Grenada Lake didn't cooperate, I headed out to Ross Barnett.

I caught some nice 14" on a little lake near Muldrow ok Friday. Lost some bigger than that. Live worms under bobber, 1' under surface. Right up next to the cliff edge. Fun day.

Thanks for the comment! Just started crappie fishing two years ago. Any time I land a two pounder it’s pretty special! Can’t wait to join the three-pound club! Tight lines!

@@pawpawpete Welcome to the Thump. We are all addicted to it. You are doing well with it only being 2 years. I grew up fishing The Rezz as they call it now back in the 70's. 😆 BE SAFE ON THAT FISHERY.👍 SHE CAN GET ROUGH WITH HIGH WINDS.🌬

Great video! What line size and jig size are you using here? Maybe kinda go over your setup each time.

Thanks so much, and thanks for the feedback! I was using an 8’ ACC Crappie Stix pole with 6 lb Berkley Vanish fluorocarbon line on a Mr Crappie Slab Shaker reel. The jigs were ones I hand-tied myself on 1/16 oz Eye Hole jig heads. I use “snips” to cut away the collar & barb of the jig (leaving the shank completely bare before adding thread/chenille, etc.), so that reduces the weight of the jig slightly. The first three fish were caught on an orange jig head with chartreuse body and orange tail with some flash in it…but I eventually lost that jig to some brush. The last fish was caught on a yellow jig head with chartreuse body and yellow tail with some flash in it. Thanks again, and let me know if you have any other questions or advice!

@ccooley3734 - I am so sorry! Just realized the answer I gave was the gear I used on my Sunday trip! For this trip, I was using everything exactly the same, except the pole was a 10’ Mr. Crappie Slab Shaker pole…. Sorry about that mistake!
