I'm 38. I've been in Scouting most of my life and I've taught bushcraft. I more or less live outdoors, wild camping and mountain biking. I'm also very spiritual (basically a pagan). After working as an IT Manager for a multinational, I changed career to teaching last year because I needed something fulfilling. I just completed my NQT year but I'm not convinced about the UK education system (my school is brilliant but an exception). I was still lost what to do with my life but then I discovered this! This is the first time in 20 years of my working life that I feel totally engaged with an ethos that aligns with my own. Wow. Hopefully I can get on board with a level 3 practitioner course soon.

Glad to hear it, James, it is a hugely rewarding vocation. Check out our FSA Endorsed Trainers map, it may help to locate a trainer near you.

Lovely to see the principles so comprehensively explained. The potential savings for society in terms of mental health and school support costs are very clear.

I was curious as to what the overall cost per student was in the video, and for what timeframe it was for?

Is it recommended to start learning online about the forest school method? I'm in a country where this approach isn't available at all. What do you suggest?
