With how he plays I think his damage is fine, not everyone needs 50% combos of 1 bar. He is a zoner first and I honestly think this is one of the more versatile zoners we could've been given. His frames are slightly slower but he makes up for it with his reach. Lots of moves that push your opponent full screen which is where you'll want them to set yourself up. Honestly just change his db4 to 1 burn per combo like nitara instead of 2 bars and I think he'd be scary to contend with

Imo the only change i would make for quan is make his tentacle grab one bar and if thats too powerfull make it like nitaras grab can only enhance one per combo

His low tentacle grab costing two bars to amplify seems kind of excessive ngl, especially considering that he’s already tied with Nitara for lowest hp in the game and needs to hold onto his meter for breaker in most circumstances.

I think the reason his low tentacle grab costs 2 bars of meter is because this character has 50/50’s on top of 50/50’s. Quan Chi is gonna feel like fighting the Terminator in mk11.

I think the problem people have when playing quan, is high pressure opponents like cage and reiko that make quan look bad, but that’s where his zoning comes into play significantly more, that’s what I see when I play quan.

I love how Quan Chi looks like this is all beneath him. And I’ve always loved his voice in every iteration. Disappointed one of his fatalities doesn’t include the squid monster. Would’ve been cool to see it grab the opponent and take them to the NetherRealm. Kind of like Hellboy’s super in Injustice 2.

At 10:15 tried it so many times and I can't jump to finish the combo in the air. I hit 13 and then 3 bringing out the tentacle but it doesn't send them high up in the air like yours does. So I can jump and finish with 122

@olofacosta3192 wrong... flat out. I'm already winning with him on kombat league. There isn't gaps in every string. And zoning is a viable strategy. Look at sindel, kitana, etc... you can zone easily

That is a really hard link, so I suggest an easier route like B34~DB1B 13 4~DB4, which is much easier and you won't lose too much dmg😊

Character’s garbage, all he’s got are his zoning setups. Probably the worst base move set in the game, 2 bars for a launcher for god know what reason, and gaps in everything but his trash mid that seems to just go straight through people half the time. He’s only “good” right now because people don’t know how to play against him yet.
