quant researcher vs algo developer in HFT firm || Explained by an HFT Developer

Let's try to find out the key differences between Quant Developer/Researcher vs Algo-Developer. So here it goes:
#Quant_Researcher:
1. Their mathematical skills are too good for me to comment(#IIT_JEE_Air_1_2_3, type people work in this profile, now you can imagine).
2. They do the research and come up with a strategy(based on probability, lots of maths, historical data, etc etc).
3. They convert this to the code and bang.
4. Not sure how tight the deadlines are.
#Algo_Developer(My Profile):
1. There is always a trader beside me who provides me with the strategy on a simple pan and paper.
2. I need to have a good understanding of how the market works and the market terminologies to convert that strategy into code.
3. I will convert this particular strategy to the code and bang(It requires a good understanding of #low_level_system_design and the #latest_CPP).
4. Deadlines are really hard, as there is someone who is waiting to use the strategy.
NOTE-1: Apart from the writing strategy(user permissions, compliance issues(different exchanges have different constraints, etc), etc), we(at least algo developers not sure about quant researchers) do need to take care of many things.

Hey Lakshya, I am not a quant researcher, I am an algo developer so If you have watched full video, you will come to know like what kind of work algo developers do. For now don't think about quant and all, stay away from all these things and focus on JEE.
