to all the people that are saying that digital art doesn’t need any talent, you are very wrong. Sure, the creators of procreate and other programs made all the tools and shapes and stuff, but the artist is still doing all the work. It’s like how an artist needs a pencil and paper, or a ruler and a marker, but there still are people who created that ruler, or that sketchbook. Digital art requires a lot of creativity and talent.

Oh I don't think that's true, (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠) I think people will always have a need for art by actual people, but that's just my opinion. It's slightly rude to say there's no need for talent, it's very similar to saying that we have no need for artists in general anymore...(⁠˘⁠･⁠_⁠･⁠˘⁠) Frankly, the advances of AI is incredible, and I think should be used as a tool rather than a replacement for talent. Plus, I think it's pretty neat to watch artists draw.(⁠☆⁠▽⁠☆⁠) What about you? I feel like even if someone isn't interested in art they might still be able to enjoy either the product or the process.(⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧

@@selah-sketches We will always need artists. I also find that it is always pleasant to see their creations, even for people who are not interested in art. Only, I do not consider works created in this way as art because they do not require any talent (but there will always be talented people capable of creating a work by themselves 🤩 ).

But it's not the machines doing all the work, they had to make the brushes and or shapes in the first place, instead of using those tools so they don't have to draw, they are often used to be quick and short to meet deadlines or finish certain projects quickly. And I agree! It's quite fun to watch people draw!(⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

I wouldn't mind this stuff if I had money, but if you rely on electronic platforms for everything in art, you can't really improve as a artist. I draw and paint on canvas and paper. You should learn to use the basic way of art first and then later in years advance onto tech. Otherwise the road leading to creativity is gonna be lost overtime relying on Electronics from the beginning. Seriously. AI can do and make whatever u tell it also or improve/fix ur mistakes, but that's not art. Real art, should have imperfections. This gives personality. Gives meaning. Gives character.
