Installing the LEAN CLI for Algorithmic Trading

The LEAN CLI is a radical leap in the openness and accessibility of quantitative trading. Through the CLI you can now research, backtest, and live trade algorithmic strategies with the LEAN Engine. With a few simple pip commands, you can run LEAN locally and code in your favorite IDE, or send the same code to our cloud processing and data stores.

I got to the point where I accessed the new LeanCLI directory but when I try to execute the ´lean init´command it says ´lean´ is not recognised as in internal or external command, program or file

because the video is wrong. you need to login first in the terminal and then do lean init

for installation on Fedora (linux) I had to create the folder first (virtual env) and then install lean. hope it helps someone else ;) otherwise... command lean init not found ...

I get the error zsh: command not found: lean

I think this probably means the CLI was not installed successfully. Please post the full logs of the install to the QC Forums and we can debug it further - www.quantconnect.com/forum/discussions/1/lean

You may have to add lean to your environment variables under path ...AppData\Roaming\Python\Python37\Scripts

You have to do `lean login` first. It must have changed since this video was uploaded.
