This is the debut album from multi talented musician and producer Quantic. Having just turned 21 years old at the time of completion, this album was a positive indication of things to follow. Like the Bonobo album ‘Animal Magic’, this entire album was recorded in the writers’ bedroom - showing that DIY culture is strong and healthy in the UK and that good creative music can successfully be made and released to an appreciative audience without unnecessary hype. 'The 5th Exotic’ combines a variety of influences from jazz to soul to funk to hip hop.

This is definitely worthy of being in the 'greatest' category. The album is perfectly constructed - there are a range of emotions conveyed by songs throughout (compare the ecstasy of 'The 5th Exotic' or the meandering of 'Common Knowledge' or the sadness of 'Time is the Enemy' for example), and while I believe lyrics can make you feel something so punctually, this album does almost the same without _any._ Certainly one of the most tasteful, well-produced, well crafted albums ever... what a masterpiece

Para!, Para!... Anécdota!!! Todos estos temas me hace sentir como en los 80 y a principios de los 90, cuando me regalaban un cassette o luego un CD y tenia mas de 3 o 4 canciones muy buenas.
