Diallel mating design is a technique used for evaluation of inbred lines in terms of genetic components of variance and also helps in the selection of suitable parents of hybridization as well as choice of suitable breeding procedure for the genetic improvement of various polygenic characters.

A gentle reminder mam...i think there's a problem in including reciprocal cross...the no. of total cross should be 42 instead of 47(which is in your lecture). I think you have also selfed with parents 3,4,5,6 & 7...do correct me if I am wrong
