@@majidmeraj86, The 70/30 principle is something, during the initial analysis (the QRA designer / risk engineer) uses while producing the event frequencies using ETA (Event Tree Analysis) Ref to: - IOGP process release frequencies - HSE UK database - MARSH database - OREDA etc. What we need to understand, all this is taken from statistical analysis from incidents world over. The 70/30, could be reduced to 90/10 as well, i.e. 90% of the events would be detected and 10% otherwise, in installations where F&G mapping has been performed and which has a robust Asset Integrity framework, where at any point of time every detector is available. Similarly, 70/30 can be 50/50 too, at places where detection is not by any engineering measure but by personnel during rounds. ETA is a statistical approximation of operational readiness.
