Hey,, loved your great knowledge of quantizing in Pro Tools and loved even more that you made mistakes and/or the software didn't function right and you handled it with elan and humor. You showed me a lot and I appreciate it.

Thank you! The first few videos I watched only talked about using beat detective which was way too many steps for me. You started with exactly what I was looking for. Next time I'm just starting with you.

Can you turn off quantize in pro tools, similar to MPC(aka Dilla technique)
@valleywoodstudio73454 жыл бұрын
Useful vid thanks!. Had that issue with the quantise not responding to the mouse click on the apply button, which oddly works if you press the return key instead!

The problem with elastic audio is you had the snare and hi hat "unmatched" they supposed to be in the same time, but it was detected like two different notes but they were the same note, I hope you understand what I mean. Thanks for the content man

This is such a great video. Thank you! I'm just newly learning this. I've been programming in an MPC for 20 years using pro tools just for recording and editing audio, and I'm just now switching it up to programming in pro tools midi. I'm wondering, have you ever used the offset grid by ticks function? I tend to make beats that swing similar to J Dilla, MADLIB, Questlove, etc.. in the MPC I can program the quantizing to be precisely late according to step values in the quantize window that allow you to choose how late or how early the notes will play on a given track. I'm wondering if the offset grid by ticks function in the input quantize window works in a similar way. Have you used that function?

What up Wayne! Sick video as usual. But when i use midi real time properties, say QUA, my midi notes don't shift in real time like yours do. I can definitely tell that it's effecting the swing, but I wish I could visually see that happen in real time like on yours. Is there a setting for that?

ahhh my track wont pull any quantize up then again i did this in bandlab and pulled it into here. i think i am going to leave it alone . bounce it out live and send you both master and non master .

Yes, then you have to use the “identify beat” function in order to create a custom tempo map. Look it up, it’s pretty handy!
