If people listen to the words of this song carefully it is actually a masterpiece about time travelling! and that final chorus puts the hairs up on the back of the neck!......."PLEASE make there be one final leap!" 😭❤

I'd say Scott Bakula had the choice of being a theatrically trained rock singing legend or just an acting one, but regardless, he is a fucking legend! Miss them days rushing home from school to watch Quauntum Leap 🤘🏻

As I travel in space and time, I want to stay, I want to go. You see my face but its not mine, what you can’t see, you'll never know. How can we meet if I'm not there? Our hearts may touch. Our bodies close. But time divides what we might share and sends a soul where no one goes. I'm just a traveler upon the sea. Of time, of life, of Fate's Wide Wheel. Just a traveler in this mystery. The me I am is all thats real to me. We all begin this life alone. We live, we love all through the years. Yet deep inside we long for home. But it receeds, obscured by tears. I cry to time; it falls past me. The door of fate remains asleep. But in my soul, this hope burns free... Oh please let there be one final leap. I'm just a traveler upon the sea of time, of life, on Fate's Wide Wheel. Just a traveler in this mystery. The me I am is all that’s real to me.

Who knew Scott Bakula had such a great voice
@Kohntarkosz4 жыл бұрын
When he appeared on William Shatner's talk show, he mentioned that every show he's been on he sang at least one song, with Enterprise being the exception because "We were only on 4 seasons", and Shatner says "Well, that's one more than MY show got".
@dars52293 жыл бұрын
Well actually, Donald Bellisario knew Scott Bakula's career began in musical theatre and wrote episodes specifically to show off his singing chops.

I adored this episode. I’ve just rewatched it. 30 years later, and I’d lay money down that Scott Bakula still has a speck of glitter on him somewhere. That stuff is near impossible to get rid of entirely. I’d personally volunteer to check every inch of his body, for scientific reasons, or something. 😅

i just wanna say, you know how as the show goes on sams swiss cheese memory slowly recovers? and he slowly remembers things? in the show he remembers his brother, sister, dad,mum al and even gushi. but he never remembers his wife donna. i think i know why. a lot of people think its because sam never really liked her and thats why he cant remember her but i think its because in the original history sam never married donna. she never showed up at their wedding and sam never saw her again. and then in s1e3 he meets donna when she was 19 and does something in the past to make it so they ended up together. so sam changed history so that they were married. so i think since sam is the time traveller his memory isnt altered so the reason he cant remember her is because he remembers the original timeline where they never were married. and in s4e1 the leap back he remembers donna because since he has returned home, his memory shifted from the original timeline to the altered one. but at the end of the episode and he gets trapped in time again, it shifts back to the original timeline.
@lorrainefiel91032 жыл бұрын
I would say you are correct except for the end part. He didn't know he was married to her because he wasn't when he leaped but also he forgot everything again when he leaped so it didn't go back to the previous timeline.

I realized that when Tonic leaped back he probably doesn’t remember this song. He probably wondered how he made it and tried to capture the original spirit behind it only to find he can’t recall. So Tonic is left with a performance he can’t duplicate with a song that wasn’t his. And that’s sad.

Ziggy the computer was female. While I think they referred to it briefly in season 1 as he, it later became very feminine and "she/her."
@lorrainefiel9103 Жыл бұрын
Ziggy was referred to as he until season 4, episode 1, The Leap Back, when we hear Ziggy's voice is feminine. Sam still refers to Ziggy as he in the episode. After that though Sam and Al call Ziggy she as well as he. There is even one conversation, in Revenge of the Evil Leaper, where Al says he and Sam immediately after says she.

Well in the Quantum Leap canon, King Thunder was a British Glam Rock act which was reminiscent of Sweet, Slade, Suzi Quattro, Bowie, Gary Glitter and T-Rex which was big in 1973 in the real world, but this song and King Thunder were set in 1974. And KISS were formed in 1973 so yeah
