Quantum Leap theme

Recreation of the 1993 Quantum Leap theme tune. I created this in Cubase in November 2018 and used the HALion Sonic SE, Groove Agent One, Korg Legacy Digital M1, Dexed, AlanViSTa Hand Crash and EZdrummer VST instruments and a Roland XP-50 for the sounds, along with some guitar. The theme was composed by Mike Post. This version was created by Oliver Sacker.

Great!!! Me and my partner have been watching quantum leap every night streaming and we haven't ever skipped the theme song. It's awesome!!! When the drums go from hitting the side of the snare to the actual snare and it gets rocming is so good!!! Your version is awesome too!!

The nice thing about this composition is that the different instruments come in at different times, therefore it's easy to play on a single instrument and retain much the original feel. So it works well as a cover on the acoustic guitar for example.

A Northern coal miner saving a friend from a riot in 1984. A German student trying to break down the Berlin Wall in 1986. A French construction worker saving a colleague from a cave in while digging the Channel Tunnel. A stealth bomber pilot saving his squadron in the Gulf War. An American high school teacher preventing a second Columbine in 2002. A stockbroker preventing his firm from making money dishonestly off the Credit Crunch in 2008. Those were all people who could have lived during my lifetime. What would you hope you could come back as if you were Sam Beckett?

Great Theme. I had a conversation with a friend recently about how compared to the show, the theme didn't seem to fit as it was so upbeat. I would to hear this in a Minor Key.

I love, love, LOVE this! I hate to be a noid but, I believe this is the earlier 1989-92 version of the theme song, though, right? I love both the Mike Post versions of “Quantum Leap”, I’m just trying to understand which one of these is it is though. Great performance Oliver!
