Amazing how the internals haven't changed dramatically in the last 30 years while the cosmetics constantly change. I am partial to the old Daiwa Mag Force baitcasters of that vintage. Another great video Dennis! Thanks!

Absolutely know nothing about this reel. Sounds like you’ve got it totally figured out. Enjoyed learning about this one. I worked on that 3rd generation Spinfisher 700 Greenie today. You would have been proud as I got the pinion and bearing out with no problem. I converted this reel to PUM a while back and enjoy fishing with it that way. I have a three day fishing trip to the coast coming up in a few weeks and can’t wait. I’m looking for some nice spring Pompano! - Chris

@@2ndChanceTackle I’ve only caught stripers on Lake Norman in western NC. There are some very large stripers that hang out near the “hot hole” of the nuclear reactor owed and operated by Duke Power Co. I’ve been able to get the bearing and pinion gear out of 8 of my Penn Greenie 700s and 7o4s. I can’t adequately convey in words how much I love those reels. My favorites are the two early version 7o4 reels with that swirl side plate. I fish with them a lot. Good luck with the Striper run! - Chris
