Is this lecture in english or in ''Urdish"? Prof.Sohail successfully convinced the bignners that this subject is really incomprehensible. Repeatedly reference to Einstein in Q M lecture is another grand feature.

Nice discussion. How funny is it Einstein was not convinced about Bohr’s quantum state, how with his EPR paradox came up with entanglement. The best way to explained comparing with F=ma in classical mechanics which helps us to predict path of object for a given mass and acceleration, whereas Schrodinger equation gives us probability of location of particle in quantum state. Being engineer myself working in high tech industry for last 25+ years in US, I agree that quantum computer will not be like laptops. First quantum computer will not be necessarily faster than present day laptops. However it will be used to calculate large number and resolve complex problems like predicting complex weather patterns and so on. The other limitations currently is that you can not run quantum computer on a room temperature. As always best to you Dr. Hoodbhoy you are doing heck of job in challenging environment in your country. Wishes from California

We feel proud to see Mr. Zubari book on the latest discipline of quantum mechanics. While light does not possess fluid properties like air and water but can we consider light as a special fluid that may pass through vacuum.
@parthabanerjee12342 жыл бұрын
One should not consider light as anything except light. It would be wrong to consider light as any sort of fluid. We can only describe light in the language of Quantum Mechanics. I understand your need to visualize light. That is why you are searching for an analogy. But light is unlike anything else in the universe. You can call it an electromagnetic wave. You can call it a probability wave function. You can call it a quanta or packet of energy. But it is not a fluid of any kind. If you want to consider light as a superfluid, you have to fist define the properties and behaviours of this superness. Why the fluid is super? Is it very viscous? Is it very hot? Is it visible? Is it radioactive? What is this superfluid made up of? If you have not already defined the the properties and behaviours of this superfluid, it is just a term without a meaning.

Of course as any student in India, everyone of us has dabbled in communism and quantum physics. Well done and hope I get to talk to you Professor Hoodbhoy, have a few questions about one of your talks.

The quantum mechanics is the results of break down of classical science , What is the nature of it , scientist don't know , they called it wave function , they knows only the expression or characteristics of psi (wave function) by experiment . Classical science is based on 5 th sense, the breaking of classical science is the failure of sensetional science , that means the sense does not tells truth , ,i want to tell something , please dont think me a blind believer, , What scientist little bit feel and give an expression psi , Our rishi feel it and called it bromho . But Which is beyond the mind , which is every where , But covered , Every religion try to teel this grat truth i very much feel it , and want to combine the two. Thanks you sir , love from india . The tragidy of india and pakisthan is that we are quit similar But the religion , the media and government is barrier But , one time will come when the military Shadow remove from pakisthan , the modern rational thoughts breaks the hard rigid religion , then there will be no reason for hate or separetion
