the angular quantum number can also be called Azimuthal quantum number. For anyone studying for mcats and things like that, I'm pretty sure that is the word used

I swear by god, it took 3 hours for the professor to explain this in class and I never understood it. 12 minutes on here, and I got it. Understood. College is truly just for the credential.

Shrey Butle well that or they just don’t know what their students know and don’t. Like they just assume that we understand it, because they’ve heard it like a thousand times. That differentiates teachers, it’s either they understand their students or don’t.

In magnetic quntum number for L=1, ml have 3 possible values ..Among them which ones are for Px Py and Pz??

the kaplan book says that (l) is the shape and number of subshells- is this synonymous with the shape of the orbital since the orbital is made up of these subshells? Like are these two different ways of saying the same thing..

if n represents the shell and l is a subshell does that mean that the shape determined by the l value is adjusted to fit the restrictions of the n shell? what do the labels of shell and subshell imply? im confused

What if the quantum number is 5? Or 7? The angular momentum number would be 4 for quantum number 5 (n-1) and 7 would 6 (n-1) so my question is what would the angular moment numbers be? For quantum number 5 would it be ;0,1,2,3 ?!
