This part of the film is epic. "can i offer an opinion, i think you people should find a better place to meet" classic. Then Green and Bond come face to face at the bottom of the stairs, that bit is epic. Bond just standing there in his tux, Green staring right at him, immense moment.

And the scene immediately after, Green's men chasing and shooting bond but without sound effects, only soundtrack. Great editing. (I just realised your comment was 12 years ago)

This is my favorite part of the film. The music written could even give John Williams a run for his money. But the music that follows this scene i cant seem to find. the part right when Greene and Bond end up looking right at each other, it then goes silent only to be picked up by a beautifully written piece of music as Bond flees Greene's bodyguards through the kitchen and eventually the stairwell. I love how its so well intertwined with the tragedy and drama of the actual opera.

James told Vesper and Mathis that he found out his tell after losing a hand, then they were playing again and Mathis says to vesper, thats le chiffre's tell Because vesper was basically conned into doing this for Quantum, she told le chiffre they knew his tell. He learned about that the guy makes government officials fall in love with him, only so he can get "kidnapped" and they will do anything for him
@drummerflex12 жыл бұрын
This is the best track of the film, and it feels like John Barry. It's way better than the Hans Zimmer track from Inception, which is hardly as dynamic. Did he copy it? That wouldn't be a first for him, but it is one of the better things he has written.

Compositionwise it's slightly reminiscant to Capsule In Space and one of the best musical pieces in any Craigmovie. Craigs' Bondmovies' suffer from bad music. Especially the Newman scores are neglecting its' audience. More music like this please! :D

I don't get why this movie is so hated or looked over. Though the beginning truly felt poorly filmes (way too much short shots, one can hardly understand what is happening), and though the storyline is a bit weird, I enjoyed the movie, and it was really intense to watch. Not the greatest Bond film, but it deserves to be called a James Bond nonetheless. This particular score is the best one from the whole OST too. That scene was also the best of the movie in my opinion

Ok basically Vesper was doing that for Le chiffre because her "boyfriend" was kidnapped by Quantum. That boyfriend works for quantum trying to make government officials like vesper fall in love with him so when he gets kidnapped, they give valuable information to quantum. Sorry, i just re-wrote it because i didnt make much sense
