Great video! Thanx for uploading it. I am not disagreeing with you. I know that everything you explained in this video is true. So please do not misunderstand me. Call me crazy, if you like. (I don't blame you or take offense if you call me crazy.) I had a dream. In my dream I was in a society that I am guessing was this society, but maybe it wasn't in the too far future. I say that because for the most part the society I saw in my dream looked like the current 21st century society of the modernized world, like America. There was 1 obvious difference between our current society & the 1 in my dream: People were entering & exiting their houses & buildings by passing through (what were usually) solid walls. All of the houses & most of the buildings that I saw had holographic images of windows, doors, garage doors, & entrances & exits. There were no (as I call them) 'Classical Doors & Windows'. No doors, windows, entrances & exits with moving parts. No elevator or revolving doors. Banks didn't have the 'classical' door on its vault, that they have today. The hologram was for decoration & to direct people to the area of the wall where they may be allowed to enter & once inside, can always exit. This was all explained to me by someone, who I did not recognize, in my dream. The key was that you could only enter a house or building if you had clearance. Weapons, explosives, guns & ammo never had clearance to pass through the entrances of public buildings. So school shootings, public shootings in general & terrorism was almost completely a thing of the past. Windows worked the same way. They were signified both from the inside & outside of the house or building by a holographic image. You typically could not see what the actual inside of the house or building looked like by staring at the holographic window. Because its really just a (normally) solid wall. From the inside of a house or building, you may be able to look at the holographic image of the window & see outside. But you first have to choose to allow visible light clearance to pass through that area of the wall, where the holographic image of the window is located. & even though the window that you see is just a holographic image, the light passing through it from outside is the actual light from outside. Now if you want to 'pull the blinds' or 'pull the curtains' over that holographic image of a window, then you just simple deny visible light clearance to pass through the wall, there. The interesting thing about that is, the (for lack of better words) 'network' that orchastrates the digital doors & windows of the house & buildings was programmed to change the holographic image of the window to a new image of the window with its blinds pulled/shut or its curtains/drapes pulled. -Again the holographic image of the window automatically changed like this if the user denied visible light access to pass through the wall area withing the borders of the holographic window. & the inverse is true, too. When the user decided to grant visible light clearance, the holographic image of the window reverted back to the window with its curtains or blinds drawn. Like windows, holographic images of bathroom doors in houses would change to appearring as shut, or as open; depending on its occupant's request to show it to others elsewhere in the house as 'open' or as a 'closed' door. -This only pertains to the holographic image of the bathroom door. The wall space within the borders of the holographic bathroom door image is permeable to the occupants in the home when no one is in the bathroom. But at the user's request, the wall space can revert to its 'classical' state & become solid. -This is essentially 'closing & locking' the bathroom door. Another interesting thing shown to me, in my dream, was a fool-proof system built into any internal door in a house or building. I'll use the bathroom door in a home as an example. Its important to know that for safety reasons one can always exit any door of a house or building be it public or private. When the occupant using the bathroom has 'closed & locked' the door, there is the possibility of them forgetting to 'unlock & open' the door before exiting the bathroom. This scenario is similar to us locking our keys in our car. So the digital doors' operating network installed in the home has a fool-proof system designed into it. The bathroom, bedroom, closet, attic, & basement doors all have light curtains or optics installed within the walls at the perimeters of where the said holigraphic door image would be. As the user exits the bathroom, the operating network sees that they've exited & automaticall 'opens & unlocks' the door. Public bathrooms work the same way, but only concerning the bathroom's stall-doors. The entrances to the public bathrooms that I saw were just like a lot of public bathroom, today, where there was no door. The entrance was, literally, a rectangular opening in the wall. Garage doors, worked the same way. Anyone who did not have clearance to enter the garage either tried to pass through & walked right in the solid wall, smacking it; or worse, drove their vehicle through the wall, damaging it & the house. I don't know how these Digital Doors, as they called them, works. But in my dream they worked & society was kept safe from the bad guys.

Can you calculate the probability going through a 5 feet thick wall of a person weighing 80kg? How many times will a person need to hit the wall before he can go over on the other side ?
@idiotflower6 жыл бұрын
Just a layman's question: can this be really called "travelling"? The way you describe it seems to be more kind of a "destruction" and "reconstruction" and even this does not come close to the appearance it made to me. Is there a "before" and "after" at all? And: is it the same electron? The electron in front of and behind the barrier, that is... isn`t it more information collapsing into an electron? I even doubt that the information made "its way" through the barrier. Maybe the "new" electron is just another representation of an approximation to something else we describe as an electron. Are we sure that electron deserves this identifier (same electron "Bob" with just a new position, for example)? Sorry, if I used terms that don't apply to physics, but I'm a layman.
@splicerdicer88006 жыл бұрын
So although the probability is basically zero, there is technically an extremely small probability that you could quantum tunnel to the other side of a wall? Given enough time of course.

That was just a philosophy despite of the cat itself! We already know that depending on the nature of the particle ( The mass of the object ), the particle would be able to move across a physical massive barrier if it had the wave properties quantumly under some circumstances ( so small object " A particle " with the appropriate energy ); such that: in the newtonian's point of view, the particle ( An object with a very small mass ) sees the barrier as a space containing some other massless particles each group of which orbits arbitrarily around a specific nucleus of a matter independently whether those orbiting particles follow an exact circular, elliptical, or a path represented by a probability wave function " phi = e^(i(kx-wt)) = cos (kx-wt) + i sin (kx-wt) " along either a spherical or an ellipsoidal surface. If any of those particles are encountered by any of the other massless particles having either the required mass or speed ( momentum ), it would be bounced off its direction due to the collision ( probability ). Whether the particle going off the last point of the barrier is the original particle or "The massless particle being bounced off", observe that with a higher driving energy, any particle arbitrarily with an arbitrate energy besides the direction may be exist on the other side.

In my humble (and probably wrong) opinion, humans cannot walk through walls because humans are so much bigger than the empty spaces in the atoms that make up the walls. But electrons can go through walls because the empty spaces between the electrons and the nucleous of the atoms that make up the bricks (assuming they are brick walls) are big enough for electrons to go thru. Much much bigger. Also, using humans as the example is confusing because quantum physics are valid on masses that are extremely small (sub-atomic level). Does anyone agree?

there is a huge problem with the diagram - that there is no true wall, if we are at the level of a wave or photon then there is no wall but giant holes or other atoms and since most of space with in atoms and between atoms is empty space then there is no wall but lots of empty space and I can see how tunneling can take place between these giant gaps

Ummmm, it is possible for a human to walk through the barrier! The possibility is not 0!!!! But very close to 0, so it's still possible, given that you have enough time and energy to ser come the task.
@zbiv9 жыл бұрын
One of the best explanations online. Only problem- taking equation as a way to prove doesnt really explain how it happens physically... so, the equation proves that it can be left or right of the barrier, but what is happening at the electron's physical level that makes it appear on the other side?
@sirbruce19708 жыл бұрын
+zbiv To understand what's happening physically, one needs to understand why there's a wavefunction at all. And the reason there is a wavefunction is that the energy of a particle is not always constant; even in a vacuum, a particle can randomly gain energy for a short time from nothing. This allows the particle to have enough energy to move through the barrier.
@elderacorn11516 жыл бұрын
Would this suggest that in an infinite amount of time I would be on the other side of the wall infinite times because while the chance is slim, there is time for that chance to occur

Not like a proper wall but not sure what the math is if the barrier Is thin enough. If it’s a non zero possibility then I guess you would be on the other side , but I think this is just for quantum particles the math wouldn’t work for something bigger

Metaphysically Speaking -The human body holds the potential capability to pass through solid objects such as walls, and other phenomenon such as walking on water. This requires purification of the body on a physical level, into a matrix beyond our material understanding, embodying a stable quantum flux ... capable of superposition alignment. We are fore sure attaining new paradigms of capability - once we improve our ability to unlearn what has been our thus far indoctrination.
