Quarter Hoarder

Күн бұрын

At this point y mind is completely blown by the quantity and selection of amazing old things we've found metal detecting this Colonial farm field that dates way back to the mid-1600s! We've already dug up 5 hammered silver pirate cobs, over 40 large copper coins including 18 from the 1600s, over 200 old buttons of all shapes and sizes, a roman bronze coin from the 3rd century, even a 14k gold ring with hand worked designs and a red ruby faceted stone!
Well we keep going back and hitting a slightly new section of land and the amazing finds just keep pouring from the ground! This week another bucket lister for Charlie, an incredibly rare coin from the 1700's for Rich that we've never found before, and even another spine chilling piece of gold that took us all by surprise! This is the easily the greatest location we've ever hunted on and with the rops almost ready to go into the ground the race before we lose the spot until next winter!

Hey Doug, some of us still remember Mr. Wizard. He was captivating the way He would teach cool experiments!! I still remember one that I use as a party trick to this day. Incredible finds fellas. I guess we need to wait even longer for Lynne's nickname. C'mon Jason it's just not right to keep the suspense elevated for weeks bro! Lol. Take care

Well done on the White gold ring Jason! And well done on the cartwheel Rich! They are 'some lump of a coin'. Trouble with Cartwheels is they are so soft, too. Even in the mildest soils they fade out. I've found plenty over here, but never one that was really well defined. A crisp Cartwheel out of the ground is always a "plant". All Cartwheels and most all coppers from Mental KG3's reign into Dwarf QV's early reign, were made from Kernowek (Cornish) Copper. During that time period Cornwall produced 3/4's of the World's copper and Gwennap Parish, in the deep South-West was listed as 'The richest square mile on Earth'. Our natural Cornish mineral wealth went 'Over the Tamar River' (the old Cornwall/ England divide-line), to line the coffers of The Crown, whilst we Cornish existed in abject poverty and filth and thousands of us starved to death (sound familiar?😉). I am so proud to be Kernowek and so proud to have been a Kernowek miner.....Anyway, enough of my old man's ramblings😵‍💫. All the best from over the Pond🤟👍.

Thanks for that insight. Are you then, Tim from Kernowek or is your surname Kernowek, as taken from the region?
@KernowekTim
@KernowekTim 5 ай бұрын
@@dogtagdoug6751 Yep, you got it right first off the bat Doug. My surname is Rogers (Breton/Brittany). 'Kernowek' , in the Cornish language, simply means 'Cornish'. So I'm 'Cornish Tim'. I live up in England now, and when I first settled in the boonies up here the locals called me 'Cornish Tim'. After thirty three years they just call me Tim. Seems I got me a sorta "dual-passport" thing going on😉😊.

The Cartwheel, the gold ring, the llama/lion/dog coin, the kettle point, and acres left to go. The field of unimaginables does not fail. When you guys are complete there I hope we get a full tabletop review. You can take that hand forged stake and punctuate the end. Amazing.

I stopped watching UK KZbin detecting channels because to me they seem very competitive with each other. 😕. P.s. Also I have been metal detecting Englands green and pleasant land for 40+ years and have a very nice collection so watching forign channels finding their native things makes a change for me. 🙂.

Jason…When I first bought my Nokta Legend , it was your video that got me started. That was a great introduction to this metal detector. However, since then there have been multiple upgrades and software, involving more hidden buttons and maneuvers to get to the new upgraded software features, and it’s very confusing. I was wondering if you might be able to do another video to include all of the upgraded software since then and including the new beast mode. I’m sure a lot of us legend users out here would really enjoy if you did that. Please? 🙏🤓
