How many times can you repeat the same message usig slightly different words?
@QuartermileytАй бұрын
Well, if I had a nickel for every time I repeated myself, I’d probably be rich enough to hire someone to say it for me!

Yes, after watching the video I can conclude that it was a thing between the two (and Ed was right) ... and we all knew that

I used to watch the show and it was because of Ed's work... that was the main interest of Wheeler Dealers... "buying" and "selling" cars have no interest for real car fans...

I think Mark Priestly is even better than Edd. He seems so much at ease before the camera

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Ed's contributions truly made the show special, and it's awesome to see so many fans appreciate his talent.

KZbin revolutionised car repair programs. I used to love Wheeler Dealers, it helped me learn more about cars. As the show progressed I got the sense that the restoration process was a bit glossed over and at the same time KZbin mechanics started doing either real step by step explanations on how to do certain things or they made fun resto videos that still had huge entertainment value. My favourite channel is Legit Street Cars, Alex makes fun and entertaining videos that still dive really deep into the matter. A TV show cannot get into this much detail on fixing cars, I understand that and that's why car content on TV has been completely irrelevant to me for at least 10 years.

I can see that it also came down to safety for Edd. If something was to go wrong on a car that Edd had fixed for the show, it would be Edd who would be held responsible.

You're absolutely right! Safety is a top priority, and it's crucial for Edd to ensure that everything is in perfect working order.

In short, the (US) networks killed the programme. Some might say they dumbed it down, others they made it cheap, others still that it was all about low-maintenance (for the audience) episodes, whatever the bloody networks killed their golden goose! I liked the Ed China episodes, Mike was just the sharp businessman part, but without Ed’s there wouldn’t have been a show!

Micke should make the show 2025 with all three mechanics working together, Edd, Ant and the other guy. That would be nice!
@QuartermileytАй бұрын
That sounds like an amazing idea! Having all three mechanics collaborate would definitely bring a unique dynamic to the show.

1 bit of misinformation.........Mike did not go and find the cars, there was a team of mechanics who would trawl the small adds and go and view countless cars until they found one that fitted their requirements then Mike was filmed viewing, testing and buying the car but the car had already been viewed and tested by a mechanic.
@QuartermileytАй бұрын
Ah, so Mike is more of a car "auditioner" than a "finder"! I guess he’s just the star of the show while the mechanics do the real detective work. 🎭🚗
