Hello LS, What a great circuit, I have a lot of crystals, x-tals, from salvaging parts, now I can test them, thanks. Always great content, explanations and demonstrations. A go to channel. All the best, C.
Please clarify how you drew intersecting/connected network/traces on your schematic. I do not see the customary dots/circles at connection points and "humps," where one net jumps over an unconnected net. Thank you for the video and your help.

Not sure if you still need this answer, but I've managed to build it, they're all interconnected. It's easy to see if you take a printscreen of the circuit and analyze it side by side with the way he assembled it on the breadboard.

Hello! Thanks for the circuit. I put it together and am having mixed results (maybe I have a lot of defective crystals?). I tried a bunch of 32.768 KHz crystals but none worked - could 9volts be too much? Also, is there a range limit for this circuit, for example should it work for a 20MHz crystal?

Hi How Can I Lower The Frequency Of Quartz Crystal From 32768 kHz to 24500 kHz? I Wanna Create And Measure Martian Time Which Is 24 Hours 39 Minutes Thanks
@smtkumar007 Жыл бұрын
you would need to change the property of quartz or you could tweek the counter circuit

A capacitor in series with the crystal will detune it a bit (to lower frequency).

why do we have to use it? what makes it important in the circuit? and which device it's widely used in? full of questions lol 😆

For creating frequency, cpu needs frequency, used in every cpu, microcontrollers, computer, smartphone, etc.

Most importantly, it is used for clock to keep time.

I was looking to see if an actual natural formed quartz crystal would complete a circuit, pass a continuity test. Nothing to do with frequency, just flat DC

Lo sigo en todos los videos desde hace muchos anos y los considero muy buenos y claros, pero en este circuito la letra de los componentes no es la apropiada. Debe mejorarala. Cordial saludo
