Have you ever had to replace a quartz countertop for something that happened on the job, during transportation or, worse, for something that was out of your control?
It’s an all too common dilemma today, costing shops thousands of dollars each year.
From seam polishing to scratch removal, fixing acetone burns and suction cup marks, Quartz Renew™ was developed to help the professional fabricator and restoration company save time and money over replacement.
The Quartz Renew™ system offers 4 different products designed to address any challenge you may have with a quartz countertop.
Quartz Renew™ Diamond Resin pads are a 50 to 1500 grit set designed for superior results in edge polishing, seam polishing, deep scratch removal or any severe damage to the surface. T
he Quartz Renew™ Resin pads provide excellent results quickly, for face polishing, from grinding to a glass finish.
For less severe damage, the Quartz Renew™ 4 step diamond felt pads also provide excellent results for face polishing. From A-frame marks, to light scratching, the 4 step system will remove the damage and get you ready for the final phase.
The Quartz Renew™ Polish! Our 3 step polish system is designed to blend to a factory finish, after having removed more severe damage with diamond polishing. The polish will also remove light damage, such as acetone burns, light scuff marks, sealer removal, stubborn stains, etc, without the use of diamond pads.
And finally, for everyday use, the Quartz Renew™ Cleaner is a streak-free cleaner safe for everyday use and a great means of supplying your customers long after the installation.

This should be included in every quartz installation. Installers ( not all) are ruining people's kitchen tops by half assing seams. I just got quartz yesterday and the seam is awful in spots. I'm in the flooring industry and do seams on a daily basis. I will not walk out of a house if the seam is not up to expectations or industry standards. I called my Installer back today and told him something needs done. He told me they will re top coat the seam. Told him he better do something about the lippage and of course he told me that stone varies in depth and lippage will be there. This guy proves many out there are just shit installers

Is for real quartz or natural stone it can vary from slabs to slabs So if you Sean 2 pieces from 2 different slabs you will have some issues on your seam But issues needs to be addressed up on fabrication son when using a seam setter make sure one side is compensated in thickness But lastly as you can see repairing an unacceptable seam will require of skilled individual that will have to go tru an entire process to repair it that could end being a $600 mistake

Thank you for the very informative video. The installer told me he couldn't do anything about the uneven seam. I told the general contractor if the installer wasn't willing to do it, I found out how to do it. All of a sudden the installer knew how to do it. He did a good job smoothing it out but now there's a very dull strip where they seam is.

Great video well made and explained from an expert. I got some nasty and really really stubborn grease stains on my quartz composite table in Switzerland. The literature here says that repolishing a spot is difficult. I tried it with on a spot with an orbital, 5 inch medium hard foam pad and some quality car polish. It took considerable effort but the stain is gone, however you can still see the transition from the newly polished area to the rest of the surface. I guess I will just do the whole table with 1000, 2000 and 4000 diamond pads.
@jimlang3634
@jimlang3634 4 жыл бұрын
Chris, The Quartz Renew polish is developed to blend areas like that. I would recommend trying that before polishing the whole table, that would be very difficult to do. Using the second and third step of the polish woth the foam pads will very likely blend the area you have worked on. A list of distributors is on our website and most would be able to ship to you. Thank you for your post.

I can't even see this seam, other than the evidence of lippage skipped by the polisher. My quartz countertop seams are visible. One is white from a re-do lining it up and one is still gray (it's a gray and white marble look) from their trial and error. Do you have a technique for re-doing seams without pulling the countertop apart? Something to make the seams less visible and at least match?

I thought my countertops were granite and I used diamond polishing pads up to 3000 grit in a test area. Now my test area has a haze! I can only really see it from farther away - the surface looks different. I found out they were quartz not quartzite!!! Will the Quartz Renew System repair my mistake? I already tried to remove the haze with automotive diamond cut and foam pads with a DA polisher. Do I need to buy a rotary polisher for the Quartz Renew if you think it will work? My test area is about 2 sq feet. Please help before I live in the doghouse!

Hello, This is a chemical burn, so it has been etched. Hard to say where to start without seeing a picture, but you will likely need to start around the #3 pad, then 4 pad. After that you can move to the polish, #1 through #3. If you haven't polished quartz before, I would recommend having a local restoration company do it for you or atleast practice on a scrap piece first.

Hi Lisa, We're working on it. I can tell you we have personally fixed hundreds of them, using our system. Unless the etching is severe, there are no pads needed, simply the 3 steps of the polish, to remove the acetone etch. Thank you.

@@jameslang404 Thank you so much for the quick reply, James! I have a fairly minor issue, and I'm not sure if the first step of the polish is necessary, as the snakeskin texture still seems to be visible and matching the areas around it. I am afraid to try the first step in case it might cause the problem area to have too much texture compared with the surrounding areas. (is that possible?) In your opinion, would it be best to start with just the second and third steps to see if that fixes the dullness? Thanks again for your help!!
@jimlang3634
@jimlang3634 5 жыл бұрын
Lisa, If used in short intervals, it will not be a problem. Sometimes it is needed to get the etching out. And it will leave the whole area duller (normal), bit you won't be able to see the original etch. This will tell you is was removed. From there, continue to 2nd and 3rd steps to polish back up. That said, I would highly recommend working with a professional on this, if this isn't something you've done before.

@@josecolindres7750 Everyday?! It would be in your best interests to learn how to install properly to begin? We manufacture and install on average around 130 slabs worth of work, 90% of which is quartz. From simple 20mm square edge jobs as shown in the video through to 600mm x 20,000mm long bars with a 100mm front apron and raised breakfast bar joined by a mitre cladding stone to the floor and everything in between. We'd maybe get less than 6 complaints a year regarding uneven seams out of thousands of jobs per year. Get yourself some seam setters. We've the ratchet style for 10 years and before that just simply a drill, wedges and clamps(they still do the trick) 6 months ago I got the boys 2 sets of OMNI CUBED and will have to buy 3 more because the install teams fight over them each morning! www.google.com/search?q=seam+setters&client=firefox-b-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwidwKPo7YHpAhVygUsFHQkACHUQ_AUoAnoECAsQBA&biw=1138&bih=545 Polishing back seams should be the last thing that needs to be done. It can and does happen due to accident(glue goes off to quick etc), 'lazyness or an 'it'll be ok its acceptable' attitude to anything less than perfect or sheer inexperience. It's always best and EASIER...MUCH EASIER in fact to bust the seam then and there, if its not perfect and doing it again. Bust it by heating it up and using a blade to remove the glue whilst using a drill underneath to help pop it up. This package is best suited is on those occasions where things like splashbacks are installed, hotplates, sinks, walls painted etc are all fitted and removing the top to level the join is a major costly operation. Its in that situation or similar where a system like this is ideal. I know these people have a system to sell and I don't doubt their honest but they'd be disingenuous if they said this is the answer to your problems. Is it GREAT for certain situations a few times a year? ABSOLUTELY! Is it the answer to a continual daily problem? ABSOLUTELY NOT! You're costing yourself a fortune if your not getting 99.9% of seams to the acceptable standard. Hell, flying me over to wherever you are for week to be shown would save you a fortune.

Yes, it's more about the brand than the color. Darker colors polish the same, but will be less forgiving. I've found that "off-brands" do not use quality resin binders, which may make any color hard to polish. I would recommend practicing on a piece before trying on a live job.

Why you cleaning the miter when fixing a seam? A miter is a 45degree angle. I know what you mean though it's heaps easier to simply quickly pop the seam, clean it and try again. This system has its purpose for the times when the house or renovations are complete and it's potentially more costly to go ripping things up and risk cracking splashbacks etc.
