You can create a quasar with a planet in US2. Just lock the radius and unlock the density and keep increasing the mass. Eventually the planet will turn into a star and supernova. Just keep increasing the mass and it will soon turn into a black hole. It's not very big but it's still really cool
@mrspidey807 жыл бұрын
Currently, the quasar CTA-102 is showing some extreme radiation outbursts, pushing its brightness into the range of medium to large amateur telescopes. If you have a telescope of at least 7 or 8" aperture, give it a try. This is a rare chance to look at something that happened 8 billion(!) years ago, meaning, those photons that hit your retina are almost twice the age of our solar system. This has been going on for almost four weeks now, who nows how much longer this will last.
@geopornicus39447 жыл бұрын
I have one , is it still visible ?
@mrspidey807 жыл бұрын
Hermann Fegelein No. A few weeks ago, the fireworks shifted into infrared. Not sure wether that is still going on.
@geopornicus39447 жыл бұрын
+mrspidey80 OK
@mrspidey807 жыл бұрын
Hermann Fegelein It was either the 28th or the 29th of december where CTA-102 was in fact SO bright that you could see it in small beginner's telescopes. Smallest confirmation was with a 50mm telescope, if i remember correctly. The amount of energy required to produce that much radiation that you can see it from 8 billion ly away with lousy 50mm aperture is truly mindboggling.

the black holes in quasars usually have a LOT more mass than Sagittarius a and the accretion disc is made from parts of a star

You don’t mention the light emitted by the accretion disk itself, as important as the jets..

You can make quasars in US2 by increasing a pulsar's mass until it forms a black hole.
@81brookelynn9 жыл бұрын
if a huge star went to a black hole it would have spaghettifide and create a accretion disk around the black hole tell its all eaten up. This happens to about anything bigger then a black hole when getting eaten by it.

My guess as someone who is learning and knows more than the average person about space is that when Andromeda and Milky Way collide both of our supermassive black holes will collide and start collecting more mass than normal, that will create a quasar

@MarkDoesWork7 жыл бұрын
hai dere they join and become one even more massive black hole. If it's a stellar mass black hole colliding with another, out in the world by itself, that's that. If it's a super massive black hole in the center of a galaxy colliding with another, the galaxies will fuse as well, bringing rise to milkdromeda. That's the galaxy that our milky way and the Andromeda galaxy will become in a few billion years after they collide.
