My neighbor is a truck driver. His company was hauling from TN to that area around the launch site. One of the othe drivers stopped at that boarder checkpoint on the way back, an when they checked his truck they found some illegals on top of his cab, hiding inside the wind deflector. They got across somehow, then climbed up there in the middle of the night trying to sneak north. Since Border Patrol looked up there, I have to assume they have seen that before. An I guess thats why that checkpoint is so far from the border.

Our view for the failed launch on Monday was fantastic, but the weather didn't cooperate for Thursday's launch. Oh well... we still had a great trip despite the setbacks. 😉👍 --QM

Adrian is out this year, but Neil is running. I'll be meeting up with several other Cannonball riders and channel viewers for the ride out to California... it'll be a caravan of scooter gypsies! We'll probably ride as a group during the Cannonball, and we'll share rooms and campsites. 😉👍 --QM

The windscreen on your XT250, what brand is it?

That is the National Cycle Deflector (7/8" U-clamp) universal windscreen: amzn.to/3hNXgoy . It bolts to the handlebars in about 5 minutes... super easy installation. I cut the extra length off of the bottom of the support brackets so they didn't interfere with my tank bag. 👍 --QM

The PCX is sitting at about 9500 miles right now, but that's about to change! I'll be heading out on that scoot about 10 days from now to begin another 6000+ mile trip for the 2023 Scooter Cannonball Run. Wish me (and my little 150cc mule) good luck! 😉👍 --QM
