The translation of the Quatrains :
1. The firmament derived no benefit from bringing me here,
Nor were any glory and prestige added to it by taking me away;
Nor did my two ears ever hear from anyone
The reasons for my arrival or departure.
2. of what use is our coming and going ?
And where is the woof for the warp of our life ?
In this hoop of the sphere, the life of many chaste beings
Is burnt and turned into ashes, but where is its smoke ?
3. do you know why the early rising rooster
Persists in delivering its lamenting crow at dawn ?
It means that they have revealed in the morning's mirror
That another night of life is gone and yet you are not aware.
4. Alas that we were worn out all in vain!
And we were overthrown and rubbed off with the scythe of heaven!
Alas and a pity that in a twinkle of our eye
We were annihilated without getting any gratification!
5. it is a bowl praised much by intelligence,
And is kissed lovingly on the forehead a hundred times,
This potter of the world builds such a delicate bowl,
And then throws it down on the ground so violently.
6. last night I went to a potter's workshop,
And there I saw two thousand pots, some chatty, some dumb.
All of a sudden, each of the pots cried out excitedly;
"Where are the potter, the buyer and the seller ?"

Khyyam was also a great mathematician. In algebra he wrote the so called "binomial formula" I., e., (a +b) ^2 = a^2 + b^2. +2ab. Later on Sir Issac Newton expanded this binomial to power (n) and Europeans named it " Newton's Binomial Formula. I have heard that Russians in algebra books call it as: Khayyam-Newton Binomial Formula. In astronomy he revised the Iranian Calendar which still is Used in Iran and countries neighboring Iran that used to be part of greater Iran and this calendar is the most accurate calendar in the World that is perfect and needs no correction at all.

Make sure you cut and paste the farsi text when you do the search and you will see two versions are found. Then select the one posted by a "Ahmad Shamlou". This is the higher quality version.

+naser sadeghi Ghuran was written by a plagiarist and not Mohammad since he was illiterate. Khayyam was the most learned genius of his time, there is no comparison. Also Ghuran is an Arabic work and Quatrains are in Persian and that immediately makes it more suitable for our attention.

He wasn't an atheist, but along with Farabi were just like other philosophers, such as the Arab scholars of Andalucia (Spain), Ibn Rushd, Ibn Arabi; They were Muslims who mixed their religion with their philosophy in a questionable perspective. I try to listen to Omar Khayyam’s poems ALONE PLEASE. I am not interested in soundtracks, gaps and other adding things. I have my own cosmic soundtracks and own feeling to add to it. It is so cheap to add anything else to Khayyam because everyone’s taste about soundtracks musics long gaps are personal not Ken to these stupid addition to Khayyam. This show you are far far far away from Khayyam. I would not mind a nice voice but it’s correct reading of poem with little gap and numeral short soundtrack. I write it because I tried to listen to Khayyam but all these KZbin related to Khayyam are corrupted. This is sing mind thinking and understanding misunderstanding in all Muslim world because everyone usher their own stupid taste and version without accepted quality to all. We are in decline because of this way thinking
